Mood creater, March 12, 2008

Smooth flowing jazz, high pitched bass, African drums, organs, and cymbals provided by the talented Fat Jack. Then with the additions Abstract Rude baritone voice provides a very smooth flowing relaxed feel. These relaxed moments are perfect for Abs free flowing lyrical dynamism as in "My experience is". Each song's production creates the mood to which Abstract Rude address perfectly. "Switch the Station" shows off the disdain Abstract Rude has with the current government (1998), intertwined with production that is grimy and clunky. This song leads perfectly into the troubles of getting your car registered for the state "Rolling in my Car" for both economic and racial reasons. Abstract Rude pays homage to the origins of Hip-Hop socially awareness in many songs. "Inside Your Eyes" portrays the hardships women as parents go through; each verse describing a different situation, but revolving around one family that survives through the struggle of the ghetto. Some of the production creates a mood that makes Ab want to rejoice music "Something about This Music". Abstract Tribe Unique is a amazing blend of music and the mood created on this album is pure pleasure.

Whoa!, March 12, 2008

Another late night sipping tasty brews talking with friends. We are reminiscing on prior experience with friends and our laughing at our inside jokes. We start to become more serious discussing social issues, love relationships, political theories. Nights like tonight make me feel happy I'm alive in this world. While chatting with my friends I feel a presence of funky, jazzy, and heavy bass sounds in the background. These complex sounds start to connect and it becomes the most melodic music I have ever heard. Then best of all my friends and I are speaking with rhythm over the music with intricate rhyme schemes that makes me want to shout out praise to each friend that lays down an incredible verse.
"This is the greatest night ever", then suddenly the music stops for a moment and I realize I am by myself in my room with headphones on. Then the next track begins and the fun begins again. Genius!

I think I just flew to the moon and back. One thing you can tell from this album is how much fun the artist are having throughout the entire album. I feel that a lot of effort was put forth in this work. Each track has splendid production from A-Class producers and whacky space-time lyrics. A must for anyone looking for unusual hip-hop. This is proof that Hip-Hop is an extremely diverse musical genre.

Big Ups!

One of the best, March 11, 2008

Simply amazing album! Intelligent lyrics that lead to thought provoking imagery of the pressures African-Americans deal with in the United States, issues on relationships, stream of consciousness raps, and braggadocio. All along with wicked rhyme schemes and a various lyrical rhythm changes over jazzy production. Aceyalone revolutionized hip-hop and this album became a staple of what Hip-Hop is and will become. Classic!

This album is a huge change for Del. The musical production of the album proves stellar, but what is with his continue verbal assault on WOMEN within each track. Unfortunately I am giving him too much credit he does not know how to use the word WOMEN only aggressive sexist language. It is disgusting that he dehumanizes them based on their gender. Del is a huge member of the hip hop movement, I am sorry to see him being plagued with a huge problem many MEN in this entire world seem to fail at; which is giving WOMEN respect.
Respect Hip Hop!
