Showbiz & AG - Live Hard CD
Showbiz & AG - Live Hard CD

This is a solid release with spot on beats coupled with lyrics that are on point. Plus you get instrumentals of most of the tracks. Only potentially negative thing to say is that it isn't a full album, and this EP leaves one to be desired for.

A very solid EP., March 24, 2008

Got this at Paid Dues and it is heat. All the tracks are good with the possible exception of "Pants on Fire" due to the beat, although it was fresh live. Guaranteed satisfaction.

Normally expect anything from Andre to be dope and this is no different. Whether it's similar to his previous work or not, the album is still good. A friend said that he thought it was leaning in that hyphy direction. Still good so you be the judge. Standout tracks include " 7 Letter Coked Out Intro-!!!HEAT!!!, Booty Star Glock Tawk, W-X-I'll Tell U-Y, Book Called Fillmoe, Baddest Bitch On The Planet, and Bonus Track (feat. Shag Nasty)."

Expected a lot more from this release but there was enough dope tracks to save it from being a let down. In fact the bad ones aren't really bad, just not what I was hoping for. Unfortunately any hints of cohesiveness throughout the album is actually the culprit of the "off" sound of the beats. Standout tracks include "All For You, Fire, and A Beautiful Mine."

A dope mix of tracks that has a little bit of something for everyone albeit lyricism or joints to get down to. Standout tracks include "Good Feelin, That's How It Is (part two), Traditional Slick Talk, Soweto, 93 Til Infinity (remix) (feat. Souls of Mischief), It Could Go Down, Production Products, No More Worries, Get The Girl Grab The Money And Run (feat. Souls of Mischief, Accupuncture, Ubiquitous, and Step Off."

Going into this album I expected a collection of very good beats and wasn't let down. A Plus is dope on the mic and all the songs have a certain sonic cohesiveness to them which isn't bad since they are all good. Certified classic.

This was a slight let down only because it didn't match my first notion of what it would sound like. The beats were not what I was expecting, as some even sounded unfinished. That being said after a couple more listens it became clear how good this album is. In the end even a less than stellar effort from some artists will still be better than a solid effort from others. The combination of 9th and Buckshot is just too potent not to satisfy, even if it isn't what you expected. Standout tracks include Slippin, Food For Thought, No Comparison, U Wonderin f/Rapper Big Pooh & Sean Price, Out of Town (feat. L.E.G.A.C.Y. & Joe Scudda), I Don't Know Why (feat. Keisha Shontelle), and the bonus track, which isn't listed on the site. Plus the cd comes with a feature that lets you remix select tracks from the album. Good stuff.

Being a fan of LB I was expecting this to be solid without a doubt. I shouldn't have been so confident because the end result left me wanting more established artists on these tracks instead of these up and comers. Predictably the best tracks are "Mr. Dream Merchant (Intro), Shots (feat. Sean Price / Big Dho), Brooklyn In My Mind (feat. Mos Def / Jean Grae / Memphis Bleek / DJ Premier), No Time To Chill (feat. Little Brother), and Backlash (feat. Sean Boog / Buckshot)." Don't get me wrong though, nearly every beat bangs.

This is the bangin affiliate release Hiero fans have been waiting for. Nearly all the beats on this album are bump worthy and the fact that JC is skilled on the mic doesn't hurt either. Upon reflection only "Give 'Em the Business (feat. Ty Stick)" is the only track that is so-so. The rest is straight heat, especially “Shit Off My Chest, Strange Ways, Game Goofy (feat. Opio), and 100 Degrees (feat. Pep Love / Ty Stick)." Get it till 11th Hour drops.

This is an immensely satisfying album with dope production that allows lyricism to be displayed yet still is still able to knock. Standout tracks include "Halo, The Plannit, Signs, Nautilus, Chant, Beautiful Mind, and Armegeddon."
