This is a dope cd to have in your collection. Good driving material for me. Plus norm is my elderly uncle.

Definitely worth a listen..., May 4, 2009

Being from SD and running into Jimmy Powers who is originally from boston, you automatically notice this cat's ambition and drive. This CD is a good reference point of what's to come. You notice that the skill and talent to ride a beat is there. The raw elements of a true emcee have started to manifest here. The beats provided by verbz aka caveman beats are nice grimy 90's style joints that keep the head noddin. Cop this and be in the loop now because Jimmy Powers has proven to me that he is a force to be reckoned with as long as he continues to take this culture seriously and appreciate its value. If he manages to maintain that integrity (which I believe he will) he will always have my co-sign..

Best in the west, August 24, 2007

Exile is definitely making a mark as one of the best in the west. Its time for many to set the alarm clock and wake up to a very well produced album and original sound. If you have heard Emanon or the Blu and Exile album and have not picked this up, you definitely need to.

Great Album., August 24, 2007

As a young emcee with his many albums yet to come, blu has managed to set the bar for many emcees in the game right now. Gives you the type of feeling you had when you first heard tribe or de la. Exile comes with nothing short of top notch production. A modern classic in my opinion. Don't sleep.
