Onry Ozzborn - Hold On For Dear Life CD
Onry Ozzborn - Hold On For Dear Life CD

Yo, NICE!, February 12, 2011

Onry's best work to date in my opinion, from Dark Time Sunshine albums with Zavala, to his other solo projects, it keeps getting better, it doesn't get worse, fall off? NAH, really? These albums get way and way better every new one that comes out, why ever stop comin out with heat if you're only improving every day and as long as that sun is shining, then nothing can stop the under ground. This album is bad ass and it is supreme as if the almighty himself was listening to the album as it was being made. Its just that nice. Thanks Onry, for the dopeness every time an album u make comes out, the truest of fans will appreciate that 4ever, no matter where they are. All the tracks are the shit but my favorite two are "That Good" ft. Sape and "Hold Up."

This Album Has The Goods, Stop Biting!, January 17, 2011

This album was put together in my opinion very well, has Ab's good ideas reflecting his true emcee degree and the beats are super nice. You have that working in your favor to go along with Abstract's unique rhymes and his always full of soul rhythmic style that signifies his ability to always come out with something fresh which shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, especially if you're an Ab fan. Honestly, for those who have hated on the album, you don't like Abs shit in the first place, cause this album has everything you want if you are a follower of Abs work from all of his prior releases. I would take another peak at the transition from his prior albums and you can see that it's the same guy with just newer rhymes for a different and just as smooth of an album dating back to any of his other releases he has ever put out. You can have your favorite CDs from Rude but this album is just as bad ass in comparing his other classics. It's a different time and it's been a minute in between solo albums but you really going to underestimate Ab Rude and his genuine rhymes along with his great approach to the mic then you're obviously not a true Project Blowed fan cause this album has Leimert Park and The Good Life Cafe written all over it. Granted their is not a Heavyweights Round 5 but i'm sure of any future Ab or Project Blowed albums, we'll see a Round 5 soon. You can hate if you want, but if you do, do so with a risk, cause it could hurt you with a vicious sparring at the gathering. PEACE and if Tyson is still eating your kids, you're not Bouncing! Yo, my bad!, May 8, 2010

Actually, Avatar's debut album was in 2000, under DumpTruckRecords called Republik and he has another album i didn't know about that came out in 07' called Stompbox Graveyard, yeah, i thought the same thing when i saw the name of that album, i had to find it and somehow did, but paid the $ for it, regardless, it's all worth it, the underground keeps it real from past, present, to future and know that you don't get that effort from your average joe blow, which is why U say eff the radio, you won't get dopeness like this there, forget it, good luck, too many emcees too nice with the mike who don't get the credit, so fuck commercial, and fuck you rapperz with no style or skillz and millions in the account, congratulations, you made it to the top, and you still suck. Keep the underground alive, never....surrender.

Keepem' comin' Avatar! We need more!, March 21, 2010

I truly feel embarrassed to say, and let's forget the fact i had considered myself an avid hip hop fan for nearly my entire music-listening life, that Avatar is one emcee I had managed to let go unnoticed in my so called "directory of life-long rappers known to tare da house down." Whoa! For me he came out of left field but after seeing his roots date back to his debut album in 2003, i don't know how i hadn't heard him sooner, and then I first noticed him featured on Ex Vandalz' Docile Takeover vol. 1, wreckin' it on a song with his group SPEAK EASY partner Bleek. Obviously, to me I think i need to find a way to keep my head up after letting this guy creep under my radar. Really. I feel that misled. This album right here though is a keeper, Dynamo got the perfect beats to go with this one! And Avatar's rhymes never stop comin' yo, it's an ongoing rhyme mechanism always giving you good vibes, rhymes for dayz as they say, so keepem' comin' cause it never hurts to stack up the library with more good music, the true fans will appreciate it fo' life.

Keepin the mic blazin!, March 1, 2010

Man, this cd is well worth the buy. Avatar has an awesome flow and the beats on this album are sickening. Every track seems to have a story as Avatar's rhymes reflect how one should flow over a beat. It almost sounds like he is freestylin throughout the whole album just with how nice he rhymes over the beats. He's fast, he can go slow, the album has nice catchy hooks, it has a lot of what i like in underground hip hop albums; Avatar's legit, and so is Deus Ex Machina. A must buy for any Shapeshifters, Ex Vandalz, or Project Blowed fan. This album was a classic in 04' and remains so....buy it! It's only 8 bucks!

Bangers & more bangers!!, February 22, 2010

WOW!! After hearing this album thoroughly all the way through on many occasions, this follow-up album to "Noise Complaints" does more than solidify IAME's clout on the mic; if there was even any doubt before, there shouldn't have been cause O.D. & Sandpeople don't pack up the stage with scrubs! Regardless of how well IAME and his counterparts can rhyme and put together an album, this 14 track beast of a CD is laced with IAME's supreme talent on the vocals, perfectly mixed in guest appearances from highly respected Sandpeeps and O.D. members, plus you got Sapient on the beats, uh yeah...where can you go wrong? Really? My favorite track...#3, with OnlyOne, Experience, & Sapient featured....it's a doozy.

Uh...Awesome?, February 22, 2010

Nothin' but bangers on this album, luv every track, sapient and lucky are a perfect combination as the album flows really nice from front to back...this is a ride you do not want to miss...guaranteed.
