Finally! One of the most sought after releases by the elusive MF Doom finally gets re-issued for a whole new generation of fans that missed out on this during the heyday of its original release in 1999 and its subsequent re-issue in 2001. Previously there were issues over the unauthorized use of the Marvel Comics imagery of the Fantastic Four's arch enemy Dr. Doom, who dons the metal mask to hide his scarred face and is bent on world domination. Now that the comic book leader of the industry has a mountain of cash from the film adaptations of most of their major properties, going after the little guy must no longer be on the list, not even the shortlist. It was a different story in the late 90's when they almost went bankrupt and tried to squeeze every little penny they could, resulting in the cease and desist that pulled Operation Doomsday from shelves and some speculate, may have caused some of the financial hardships of Fondle 'Em Records. Enough with my geek-gasms though, and let's rejoice, it's finally back, and even though it bounced around to many different labels promising a huge re-packaging and special edition, it eventually made its rightful way back to Viktor Vaughn the villain himself on Metal Face Records. An undisputed underground classic, and not necessarily the one that put Doom on the map, but the one that got the ball rolling!.
