Ghostface Killah - 36 Seasons CD |
DESCRIPTION |
$15.95 (save $3.00).
Ghostface continues to prove why he is still one of the best and most consistent Wu-members throughout his solo career! 36 Seasons is a concept album that coincides with a comic that details his alter ego Tony Starks, a Staten Island vigilante inspired by a quest for personal retribution and bent on saving his community from the grips of crooked authority and urban decay. Tony Starks returns to Staten Island after 9 years, like a man returning home from a war. He wants the company of old friends, to reunite with his girl, to live a quiet life. But New York has other plans for him. The album features music by the Revelations, a soul band that absolutely understands that old Wu feeling of the 90's, with guest appearances by Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, and AZ, among others.
To visually flesh out the album's dark and twisted world, the CD's packaging includes 20 pages of striking images from a host of stellar comic artists, curated by Matthew Rosenberg the creator of Ghostface's 2013 six-issue comic mini-series, 12 Reasons to Die. | |
