| Local DJ and beatmaker V-Rock continues his impressive arrival to the San Diego underground scene with this all new instrumental album dedicated to his father. The cover is one painting from a series of 4 paintings by muralist Victor Ochoa, painted in 1984. The series represents the seasons of the year, the current cover represents summer. All four of V-Rock's fathers' paintings will appear on futher beat tapes. Victor Ochoa became part of a peaceful movement in the 80's to help restore a place known here in San Diego as Chicano Park in Barrio Logan. Track 3 ''Black Lines'' has a snippet of a KPBS interview about the restoration project in which V-Rock's father continues to work on. Samples and beats constructed for the release represent V-Rock's more recent and slightly darker side since working with Scatterbrain aka Infinity Gauntlet. From Rhodes sounds to soul samples and jazz. This one is easy on the ears and heavy on the senses!
