DESCRIPTION
undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out ''on the corner.'' Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented -- postmortem -- and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.

Another great one for The Roots catalog, December 11, 2011
By: kayaman - See all my reviews

This album was another good Roots album but How I Got Over slightly tops it. This is a concept album that tells the story of a fictional character. The Big KRIT feature on "Make My" was too dope. I like how The Roots collaborate with new up and coming artists just like they did with Blu on How I Got Over, and still keep long time collaborators like Dice Raw and P.O.R.N. All in all, the production is great as always and The Roots never fail in any aspect. Probably another one to add to the list of top albums of 2011.
