| New from Milled Pavement this week! Crunk Witch is an electronic/rock/punk album comprised of husband and wife duo Brandon Miles and Hannah Colleen. The concept of the story that ensues on The Legends of Manicorn follows a warrior with a human body but the spirit and blood of a unicorn. A fantasy-horror epic about overthrowing armies of zombies, demons, cannibals and other mythical creatures, symbolic for our own world as Miles sees it plagued by fascism and religious radicalism. Probably the strangest concept I've heard since Nobody's Blank Blue, but Miles assures us there is a hint of sarcasm on every track, so don't take it too seriously, much like you would for a cheesy sci-fi B-horror movie. The EP was originally released digitally last year and now the pressed CD version features six new tracks. | |
