| Apathy, RYU (from Styles of Beyond), and producer Scoop Deville (most recently involved with producing Snoop's new album) come together to make up the Get Busy Committee. It's upbeat with throwback hip hop elements and definitely a lot more different than anything Apathy has done before. But the idea was to have fun and take names, taking stabs at the industry while putting forth a lot more honesty and realism in their music. Look, it's no secret that mainstream hip hop is almost completely out of touch with the culture from which it was born, but there is no sense bitching about it for an entire album, this is more of a "what if" scenario and concept project. | |
