| Thanks to his recent in-store over the weekend, Louis Logic hooked us up with copies of his Spork Kills project, found usually only on tour! By a simple twist of fate the New Yorker found himself recording overseas in Copenhagen with a different producer than previously lined up, who just so happened to have a band that was experimenting in throw-back 50's surf and psychedelic rock! With Laust Jeppesen and Rolf Hede on Guitar, Bass, and Keys, as well as Hede providing percussion, Emil Jensen on trumpet and piano, and now the addition of Louis Logic laying down lyrics and experimenting with his own vocals and the keyboard. Now the so-called founders of surf-rap, this hybrid group has even hit a nerve with listeners and their video for ''Night of the Hip 'N Dead'' was featured on spin-off alternative network MTVU! | |
