|A heavyweight, genre-bending collaboration featuring Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Larry Stabbins (Working Week), Stonephace encompasses a filthy hip hop production aesthetic, jazz pedigree, indie credentials and a big dose of psychedelia. Band leader Larry Stabbins is one of the UK's most celebrated jazz saxophonists and musical innovators. Producer Krzysztof Oktalski's background lies in breaks, drum'n'bass and hip hop, not to mention being a lynchpin of the Cornish rave scene. Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley provides his virtuoso musicianship throughout the album, bridging the sonic gap between the jazz sensibility and the dirty electronic weirdness, joined by fellow Portishead member Jim Barr on bass. Also featuring a turn from Dizzy Gillespie collaborator Guy Barker on trumpet.|
Please note: The format catalogued as ''LP'' is actually a limited (500 copies) 12 inch single packaged with the complete album on CD.
