DESCRIPTION
Newly formed group made up of Bostonian underground emcees Slain of La Coka Nostra, Jaysaun of The Kreators, DJ JayCeeOh and the legendary Edo G. For their Duck Down debut they've enlisted the like of Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jake One and Marco Polo on production, and while each member brings their own personal style to the album, they still share a common factor, growing up in one of America's oldest cities. Though rich in history, Boston is not without its faults, nor is it widely spoken of when referring to hip hop, as the group touches on socio-political topics and a city that prides itself on its diversity, and yet this ideology alone is the reason it remains a city divided. Be sure to look out for Slain in his feature film debut this Fall in the upcoming thriller Gone Baby Gone, set in the streets of Boston and Directed by Ben Affleck.

Being from Boston, and cool wit Slaine..of course I had to cop this, but I also am an MC myself so I don't hesitate to speak my mind and criticize where I see fit. This Album is dope..Jaysaun is a beast, EDO G is a staple in the Bean's Hip Hop scene, and Newcomer Slaine has fast risen as Boston's "Phenom" in Hip Hop. Definately a project worth donating some support to, and donating an ear to as well. Features are killing em'...Duck Down really allowed the three MC's to shine in the way they were supposed to. All being from different backrounds, neighborhoods, and era's is not evident when these 3 MC's blend together so well on their records and Dj Jayceeoh is just the proverbial cherry on top with his flawless table talk.
Great work gents!
