1. First Light(PepLove+Opio) - Fallacy Fantasy CD

Hieroglyphics stalwarts Pep Love and Opio team up as First Light! Their debut album gets its cue from the braggadocio and conceptual characteristics that were commonly expressed in the early nineties Golden Era of hip hop. But, at the same time, their way of displaying an affinity for and a loathing of the apathy and debauchery that permeates today's pop culture is poetically contradictory. Hence, the title of their debut album Fallacy Fantasy. With Unjust from Chosen Few picking up most of the production work Fallacy Fantasy has a varying musical style throughout and begins with a bang on the song Greetings with Pep starting ''Gentlemen start your engines spittin this art is vintage, I'm emptying cartridges of bars at audiences''. As the record continues into songs like Los Lobos Opio's acumen for weaving together phrases and fragments over this somber psychedelic melody are immediately apparent.

This album is so dope; not only are my co-workers here at Access hyped about it, co-workers at my other job can't stop talking about it! There are Hiero fans everywhere and with quality albums like this, why not? There are so many heaters on this album but, if I had to pick one track as my favorite, right now it's ''Rock Raw''. The beat is just so sweet and the rhymes are on point. The track is one of the many precious gems on this CD.

2. InspectahDeck/7L&Esoteric - Czarface CD

Damn this album has such a cool Wu-Tang Vibe. 7L's beats are great and always unique but it was cool how he incorporated that Wu-Tang feel with his energetic beats, nostalgic samples and dope scratches. See ''Cement 3's'' featuring Roc Marciano and you will have to agree. All I have to say is Eso and INS slaughter on this album and they work so well together. Amazing collab that every hip hop head should own!

The extended second edition of the CD is in a four-panel digipak and includes the exclusive bonus track, ''Rock Beast (Death Czar Remix).'' (The first pressing with the pop-up character in the digipak is no longer available.)

3. Demigodz - Killmatic CD

The super group ''The Demigodz'' drop their long-awaited album and the rhymes are witty, hard and funny as ever. Some of Celph Titled's lines had me rolling! Check his verse on ''Dead In The Middle''. The Big Pun sample on the chorus will take you back. I used to try to spit that rhyme when I was younger with no success. Eso is my fav still but Apathy, Ryu, Blacastan and Motive are all on some crazy rhyme shit. Beats are on some east coast, hardcore, supernatural stuff. The album features production from DJ Premier, Marco Polo, Snowgoons, and Will C. among others, including Apathy himself. Many dope guest appearences like Open Mic, Termanology, and RA The Rugged Man to name a few.

4. Ghostface & Adrian Younge - Twelve Reasons To Die DLX 2xCD

Twelve Reasons To Die is a crime/horror concept album composed and produced by Adrian Younge, performed by Ghostface Killah with beats performed by Venice Dawn. The album tells a tale of gangsters, betrayal and one vengeful soul hunting the twelve most powerful crime lords in the world.

So this trio came together to make an epic of an album. It's like watching a movie. You already know how Ghost is with the story telling rhymes. Take Ghost's skills as a storyteller, mixed with these soulful cinematic beats, and you get one of the hardest album experiences of the year. The album starts out with three amazing tracks and doesn't slow down from there as there are sick features throughout the whole middle part of the album. Masta Killa, U-God, Inspectah Deck, and William Hart of the Delfonics are just some of the guests.

The deluxe version includes the instrumentals on the second disc.

A series of six comic books, with striking visuals from a host of stellar artists, accompanies the release of the album. The deluxe 2xCD also includes Issue #1 of the comic series.

Please note: Due to the weight and size of this two-disc set there will be an additional shipping charge for many orders, especially for those to be shipped to non-U.S. addresses.

These instros are sick beats to flow to. The drums are so on point from the beginning track ''Funky Fridays''. K-Def is most definitely one of the best producers out right now!

6. Ras Kass - Barmageddon CD

Ras Kass still has it and there is no debate about that. This album has 18 raw tracks with various producers such as Vokab, ILLinformed, Veterano and much more. There are also some dope features like Talib Kweli, Guilty Simpson, Too Short and Ice-T. The track ''Godz N The Hood'' is one that will catch your attention. The slow beat is great for conjuring up poetic deliveries which all of the featured MC's including Ras Kass do a great job of. This is hard and intelligent as always.

7. DJ Drez - 4 AM Plum Mood Album CD

Dj Drez is one of the illest DJ's and his new album is too nice. The album is so relaxing, I'd bump the hell out of this at 4AM and my neighbors would probably love it! You get the most sublime feeling while listening to this. You will fall in love with this album! (This album is partly based on the Plum Mood mixtape series, but is not the same.)

The ANXtrumentals are the instrumental version of the album ANX - (Dark Time Sunshine) produced by Zavala, plus four remix/re-edit bonus tracks. I love listening to these instrumentals. You can hear so much more in the beat without vocals. The 5 bonus tracks will seriously blow ones mind. Zavala never fails to impress!!!

9. Gensu Dean & Planet Asia - Abrasions CD

Planet Asia still is classic and still relevant. Nostalgic for sure! The classic sample and dope style and tone of Planet Asia on ''Thoroughest'' had my head bobbin and was a good sign of things to come. I was reminiscing hardcore when I heard the unforgettable grimey voice of Twin Gambino on ''Time To Get Dough''. You will remember him from ''Can't Complain'' on HNIC. Another highlight on the album is ''Dignity'' feat Tri State. I swear this is the reason why I first started bumpin Planet Asia and Cali Agents! This album is very raw and 90's with it.

Riddlore? and PterraDacto with DJ OffTop as GUERRILLAH SPIT present their new CD, ''See the Storm Commin (The Monkey Wrench Theory). The aptly named Guerrillah Spit bumps hard from the first, self-titled track. You will like the more laid back track that follows called ''Giant Steps'' with a dope Sting sample on the chorus. All songs produced by Riddlore and Pterradacto. Dope features from MC Homeless, Ngafsh, and Nuvethad. ''Angle Eyes'' is another laid back track to unwind to.

Sunspot hooks up with producer extraordinaire BOAC to bring you this album packed full of bangers! I absolutely love tracks like ''Smiling''. I put tracks like this on for people to hear when they think hip hop isn't positive enough. This track gives you an instant head change and makes you want to be friendly. Then I throw on the track ''I Don't Give A Fuck'' for those times where I'm just illin. This album has tracks for every mood!

12. Ill Bill - The Grimy Awards CD+DVD

Some great boom-bap production from a prime list of producers including DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, Pete Rock, and El-P among others. Guest features include OC, El-P, and Jedi Mind Tricks. Crazy east coast, grimy, ghoulish vibe. The album is mainly about Bill's experiences so far, what could have happened, and why. ''Acceptance Speech'' produced by Junior Makhno feat. A-Track is one of my favorites. ''Canarsie High'' is another banger for sure! Dope album and it comes with a DVD!

New release discount price for a limited time only!

Please note: Due to the weight and size of this two-disc set there will be an additional shipping charge for most orders to be shipped outside of North America.
13. Odessa Kane - Cuetes & Balisongs CDR EP

San Diego emcee ODESSA KANE re-emerges with his eagerly awaited EP, CUETES & BALISONGS. Working exclusively with his brother, producer/emcee, Infinity Gauntlet aka Scatter Brain, this EP solely presents ODESSA KANE over that raw, gritty Infinity Gauntlet sound. This album speaks to the need to sharpen up on multiple levels. It amplifies the local/global struggles of the people, pays homage to roots and our hoods, while still maintaining that cold-killin Kane lyricism we all know.

Hardcore witty lyrics provided by Odessa Kane over spine tingling beats produced by the very busy Infinity Gauntlet make this a dope EP for cruising the S.D. streets. The feel of Infinity Gauntlet's beats are seriously heavy, dark and trippy. One of my favorite tracks is ''Pancho Bonifacio''! The guitar is ominous, there is a little outer space sound to it, and the programmed drums pound. On the track Odessa says, ''I go beast mode!'' And ''If life's a game then guess who got the cheat code?'' This one is for the lost youth, justice and the truth!

CUETES & BALISONGS follows his 2003 solo project, Briefcase Narrative, and the collaborative album with Autopsy, Civil War (2005) (produced by Infinity Gauntlet), plus various singles released over the past 2 years.

These cats better never stop rapping cuz they still slaughter. The track ''Sunshine'' feat. Janelle Collins is a nice jazzy track. The track ''Sometimes'' has tons of features that will make anybody want to listen. Slug, Immortal Technique, Grand Puba and Everlast are just some of the MC's on that one track! This album has got some slappers!

This CD is housed in a deluxe hard case, like a hard cover book only CD size.

Please note: Due to the weight of the hard case there will be an additional shipping charge for most orders to be shipped to non-U.S. addresses.

Dang these beats have so many different styles. From downtempo, to dub, hip hop, to jazz and on this album, Indian instrumentation. It's amazing though because while this album is very intelligent beat wise, it is still simply raw as hell and dope! The Lotus Memoirs is the latest incarnation of the Jahta Beat series by DJ Drez. This album is sure to please a lot of different tastes.

What!? Brand new Riddlore album featuring Rifleman, Nuvethad, Ira Lee and more! This is the first Riddlore album in almost 10 years! One look at this album cover art and you might think this album is going to be different. The second track ''The Rising Sun'' feat. JD Curry and Lab Frogg confirms that assumption. It was a nice track to take the edge off. Nobody does it better than the Good Life affiliates. Good rhymes over a mix of bouncy/hard beats.

18. DJ Drez - Jahta Beat 2: Progression CD

Anticipated follow-up to arguably one of DJ Drez's most popular original works! Combining organic, jazzy hip hop, with world-beat, African and Middle Eastern instruments and rhythms, Jahta Beat 2 picks up right where the original left off! Very meditative and easy to get lost in, Drez has captivated us with what I believe must be a hundred unique mixes by now. The range of his musical knowledge is manifest in his new creation, the Progression.

For the 2013 repress, instead of the original cover and case Drez shipped the CD in a cardboard sleeve with new art (not shown here), exactly the same on the front as the new cover for the first Jahta Beat CD. The price is lower now, but the disc is still a pressed CD (not CDR).

It's no wonder he has fellow all-star spitters featured on his album like Busdriver, Ab Rude and Ngafsh. Listen to ''The Flight'' feat. Busdriver and Dr. Oop so you can get a taste of the kind of colorful, raw, L.A. music that is on this album.

Volume 1 presents 24 original recordings - nearly 2 1/2 hours of essential soul music on 2 CDs or 3 vinyl LPs - from the vaults of STAX Records and its subsidiary labels that inspired The RZA and the classic sound of The Wu-Tang Clan...
22. Von Pea (Tanya Morgan) - Duly Noted CD

Duly Noted. Is the brand new EP from Von Pea, produced by Aeon. Featuring the single ''Things Have Changed,'' Duly Noted consists of 6 new tracks from the Tanya Morgan member as well as the accompanying instrumentals from the Lessondary producer.

In August 2012, Tanya Morgan emcee Von Pea had just finished a tour and was sitting in LA with new creative energy and nowhere to put it. Listening to a beat tape Tanya Morgan in-house producer Aeon gave him, Von began writing on his flight back to New York. The next month was spent walking around Brooklyn and writing this EP.

O man this is on some fly ish! Von Pea is trying to keep it ''straight like invisaline!'' This dude doesn't smoke herbs and has the illest rhymes. The way they start the album off is purely incredible. Von's flow kinda reminds me of Homeboy Sandman. Check the relaxed track ''Alive'' and you will get a good idea of what the album is like. This one is sure to relieve stress. These guys know how to treat the art of hip hop.

24. Sadistik - Flowers For My Father CD

Perfect tracks and a perfect follow-up to 2008's The Balancing Act! The beats provided mostly by Blue Sky Black Death and Eric G., among others, are nothing short of flawless. So much going on production wise and Sadistik tears it up every time with clever wordplay, amazing rhythms, and breakneck delivery! This album is coming after the tragic passing of his father and he lets you inside his life and thoughts as a person. It's better than his debut The Balancing Act in my opinion and that's saying something because that album is classic. The Cage feature on ''Russian Roulette'' is so ill! Cage's voice and patient delivery is too nice. There are so many mind blowing tracks on this album I'm comfortable in saying this will be in the top ten best of 2013. Sadistik's voice and style has obviously grown. One listen to this album and you will know you are in for one hell of a ride. Sadistik says, ''I extinguish flames until hell fell dark and bury bodies under floor boards like tell tale hearts!''. I love the heartfelt Eyedea tribute ''Micheal'' produced by Eric G too. Also features Ceschi, Decon the Villain, and Astronautalis among others.

25. DJ Toure (Hieroglyphics) - Toure's Theory: Session 1 CD

DJ Toure comes through with a nice batch of beats and bay area features on this well rounded album. I say it's well rounded because of beautiful tracks like ''Three Simple Words'' featuring Baby Jaymes & Vivica Hawkins. The beat has so much soul and the message is simple but real. It has some great Hiero features like ''Sick'' featuring Opio & Pep Love and ''Do You'' featuring Del. The Del track has a cool sample of an 80's track I think. You will now it when you hear it. Another highlight on the album and probably one of the sickest tracks I have heard sofar this year is ''Plant A Seed'' featuring Clyde Carson & Goapele. The beat is so smooth as well as the raps from Clyde and Goapele lays down the most amazingly sweet chorus. This album is gonna be a west coast banger for a while. Also features Casual, Too Short, Jacoria Marzett, Canibus and much more!

The crazy chopped up lyrics and signature voice of NgaFsh is back for all you project blowedians. ''Underground Mardi Gras'' is a sick party anthem with a little electric guitar riff on the beat. Nothing compares to song ''We O.G.'' feat. Anacron though! The guitar, the scratches, and lyrics are all perfect! Album is 23 tracks of all star spitting. Has a grip of features including Gel Roc, Riddlore, Emotionz, plus more!

This brand new tour album is smackin! Void Pedal has the best beats, is super dope live and he recently dropped off his brand new limited tour CD during our last in-store.The drums and snare hit so nice on the opening track ''Pair''. It's an electrifying way to open the album. I love how it changes up all crazy in the middle and ends so smoothly. The beat reminds me of being at an evil carnival. Void Pedal's drums are always on some crazy ish! This album has kind of a dark atmospheric vibe. I'm telling you these are some vicious heaters! Just observe the track ''Observer'' and the rhythms will make your head snap clean off your neck!!! ''Strugs'' and ''Rhumb Line'' are two of the loveliest bangers of the year and will take you straight to outer space!

28. Kev Brown (orange vinyl) - Songs Without Words v.1 LP

Songs Without Words is a new, ongoing series of instrumental albums by underground favorite Kev Brown. Known to many as the ''king of the basslines,'' Kev's sample-driven productions have been sought after by artists like Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, Oddisee, Freddie Foxxx, Grap Luva, and Jazzy Jeff, as well as his own own Low Budget Crew. Songs V1 features a diverse batch of 12 instrumentals, including some of Kev's personal favorites as well as previously unreleased / unheard material.

This album is full of amazing basslines and beautiful samples. Both are what the underground god is known for. Side A gets your head noddin quick and steady with dope, laid back tracks like ''Life'' (remix), ''Batida'' and ''Look''. Man this whole album is a banger. Side B starts of with one of the sickest remixes ever! It's a remix to ''Couldn't Hear Me Over The Music''. The piano and bass are so lovely on that track. I highly recommend coppin this jazzy hip hop record if you don't have any Kev Brown. And if you already know what's up, then you are probably bumping it right now!

Orange vinyl.

S.D. heads Adamnt, Artoo, and Generik have been paying dues for a long time. The talented trio now drops this collaborative instrumental tape and their experience shows. The beats will make you bob your head and spit some rhymes for real. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in the 90's with some of these super smooth beats and other times I feel like I'm in the future. Very diverse yet flows together seamlessly. No matter where these experimental, sometimes offbeat Flylo type sounds take you, they always stay true to the boom bap hip-hop sound. This tape is worth every penny! High-Bias turquoise cassettes, with variant covers and hand-made Labels. Each tape is slightly different. Include download code. 43 minutes total.
30. Kendrick Lamar - good kid m.A.A.d city DLX 2xLP

Kendrick Lamar has an Andre 3000 like quality to his delivery. Has good songs to ride to, blaze to, and of course some tunes that you could play in the club and dance to. I encourage you to listen to Bitch Don't Kill my vibe with an open mind after a long day at work and see if you ain't feelin it. He represents a kid who made it out of the struggle and wants to take a stand against it without judging. You can tell Kendrick Lamar is more concerned with creating good music rather than making a comercial album. He also is a good story teller.

The vinyl is available only as a deluxe version including the bonus tracks.
