is honesty outdated?

i was honest about being dishonest and honestly had my heart dishonestly broken.

i dont know im honest and have found its gotten me out of almost any situation..last week miss my final my teacher asks why, i say no valid reason i went to the padre game and didnt make it home till the next morning, she let me make it up..get pulled over smoking a bowl, the cop comes up ask me if i had been smoking said yes, tells me to get out, asks for the bud i say here, asks for my pipe give him that, looks at it hands it all back and say julia dont be smoking any more..had 3 felony counts told my lawyer i was guilty she gets me off of all charges, but the 15 grand may have helped..i think honesty is underrated or at least here in california, ive find being honest even in situations where lying would help has gotten me alot farther and more respect...

but i bet a lot of that might have had to do with the face that you're a girl. girls get away with murder.

I think honesty is not appreciated enough. From my experiences when it comes to honesty it comes off as a negative thing and the people I know tend to hate hearing those comments because they feel it brings them down when in actuality, it's just trying to help them out in bettering themselves. It's gotten me in more trouble than anything but I'd rather deal with the consequences by saying what's really on my mind then having to lie, I guess it helps me sleep better at night.

Yup yup... nothing is worse than regret, and due to that honesty is it's own reward.

i would say im an honest person, but not because im supposed to be...

Ive told the truth lots of times, and especially when others or involved who are lying, it gets me in big trouble, which is disheartening, but i say fuck it
