Abstract Rude swings on Jizzm: both sides of the story

This is posted to help the world be aware...speak on it!

ON DEC. 2ND @ "it came from beyond" concert.
I'll tell the story later...actually in short...he shunned on a request for picture saying "nah , no press", then, through the ignorance reminded me that he forgot to give me my credit for a song I produced on "making tracks"....etc...jumped in my session, battled, got served, then tried to fight....swung on me...etc....it's a long story, i don't have nuff time to type...I'll update heads later...
or sooner...

There's two sides to every story...

Abstract Rude writes:

Unfortunate how things get out of control. Honestly, I've never had a prob with Jizz and other than forgetting to list him by accident, I doubt he had any probs with me, which is why it's stupid that we got into it that night. It should've never happened - it was ugly. I admit. I open hand struck him out of anger and am disappointed in myself for allowing such anger to overcome me. Shots of Tequilla were the main culprit with Acey & Sunspot- Jizz reaked of alcohol as well. You can't think clearly when you drink like that. Yo Jizz I'm gonna attempt to squash this man to man because I feel I was wrong for getting violent with you. That was the wrong night because we were kind of celebrating me being back from tour that's why we drank so much. You were also "on one" that night I guess you were having some probs at home and it showed through your abrupt mannerisms. The homies all said it seemed like you were gonna get into it with someone that night - I was just the unlucky cat to oblige you. I was even on my way home when Jizz started rhyming in my face real aggressively. I couldn't make out what he was saying though it seemed like drunk babble. Earlier in the night he asked for a photo with me and I jokingly declined by saying "No press please." Unbeknownced to me he didn't get the joke and thought I was seriously on some snobby shit but I was merely joking with who I thought was a homie! After that he approached me about his lack of mention on a CD I did, only this time he had an attitude and negative swagger. I tried to assure him that it was not intentional, but I can tell he was harboring hate about it - hey it was an honest mistake dude what can I do about it now? Only now I know he was still mad about the photo joke. So when he started rapping at me the way he was by the end of the night, I took it like he was so angry that he wanted to battle now. 1st I stood there puzzled just listening. Then I threw out a friendly line just to see, but nothing battle related. After half a bar he cut me off and started overtalking me, then he got real loud - REAL LOUD. I was shocked. I couldn't believe Jizzm (as far as I can see) was trying to step. HOW DOES HE GO FROM WANTING A PHOTO WITH ME TO WANTING TO BATTLE? He had an audience too. I wasn't the only one who noticed him yelling out battle cries. His 2 homies that were with him kind of pumped him up by listening and laughing & Roc from the Basement was like "Go outside and battle" - I think security was like go outside as well. Anyways, we get outside and by now I'm just quiet waiting for Jizz to shut up so I can rhyme. He obviously was too drunk or didn't wanna battle because every time I started to talk he'd loudly cut me off - that's not battling - I don't know what he was trying to prove by being so LOUD & AGGRESSIVE. But by me being faded as well, I took his antics like he just wanted to either fight or stand out here in front of a club and make a big spectacle because he was mad. It felt like he was trying to get some quick stripes from me or clown & embarass me and not even let me get a word in edgewise. Roc was even like "Let him rhyme shut up let him rhyme!" When I did rhyme, you can ask anyone there I served him, but that's unimportant to me he can think whatever about it, it's over. The crowd starts yelling "Abstract Rude! Abstract Rude!" And he still wouldn't shut up. By now I felt disrespected, more faded & angry at Jizz & myself for such a loud public beef. Then my mind went somewhere else. I started thinking "this fool's crazy, what's his problem anyway? he must think I'm a punk or he wouldn't have even been all loud talking and cutting me off in the 1st place." I started thinking, "would he do this to one of the bigger homies - hell no. He's getting crazy with me because he thinks he can." That's when I took shit way too personal and thought, "Naw, he thinks he's crazy I'll show him crazy!" Regardless of who was right or wrong 1st or last, we both made mistakes that night and jumped the gun without talking 1st. Assuming makes an ass out of you and me. I'm gonna play the humble now for when I didn't that night. Your verse was kinda funny, but I'm willing to forget that if we can squash it now. I told Awol to have you call me, hopefully you do that. You were a bigger man than me for not getting so upset that night, so I'll say nothing about your diss song nor will I make one dissing you - I got world issues to write about. Let this be a lesson to hip hop - we have enough beef. I'M OVER IT BEFORE IT STARTED.

other side!

Jizzm writes:

Here's my side of the story... let the truth about what really went down be heard!

I picked up Awol*One that Tuesday night with the intentions to hit the Trubador show with "Jizzm" promo shirts, network, drink a little and promote my next album entitled "Unlimited Edition"(dropping mid January). My intentions were accomplished...however, along the way I encountered an unexpected, and uncalled for trivial set of incidents. I've known Abstract for a rough ten years now. Never had any previous beef...and always spoke to people, and built with people in and out my circle with respect...the same respect I ask for in return...I earned my Respect....and won't stop earning it! I produced and recorded 3 Tracks with Ab on the beat level, including " B-Boy, Real Mccoy", "2,000 & counting" & "You gonna wanna spin it"...we got history...
Anyhow, He walked up to Awol and I, and after greeting I requested that he take a picture with me and Awol...He shnunned or "snobbed" with a reply of "No Press" with that egotistical sense of arrogance that some MC's think is deserving because they are so much greater, larger, and wealthier than the next...so they may think...I quickly blew it off and immediately asked Pigeon John to take a pic with us...After the pic was snapped, the illness of the "snobbing" reminded me that I recieved a CD in the mail a week before that featured a track I produced, entitled "you gonna wanna spin it". Every other producer on the album got credit except for I. So I inquired about it. The first reply was that the credit was there...I confirmed that it wasn't...let it go and continued promoting my album and enjoying the Visionaries and Dilated show.
About twenty minutes later he approached me in the bar area...said he gave me credit on every other song and that it had to be there...he told me credit for b-boy real mccoy is on the same album, right..I told him, "nah, different album." He checked frank 420's table and double checked the track listing and probably, finally came to realize what was up...it's possible that it was done without intentions... and possibly not? His moves, answers and reasoning was what I planned to base my judgement on. At that point, I just finished another drink and had to run to my car to grab 20 more shirts before it got too late...I came back to the club giving shirts out and freestyling for bystanders including other recording artists we all know...not battling, in any type of fight mode, just in fresh intricate rhyme mode. I was drinking glasses of henny but definately was not "on one" Where do you get off saying I had probs at home? I live by myself, my rent is paid, my home life is better than ever? What homies said I was going to get into it with someone? I may make beats, but Robert "Jizzm High Defintion" Leon is an MC first and foremost. Rhyming since 87', cut first wax in 91' etc... I'm a grown, experienced MC. While freestyling to a crowd of onlookers who you make regards to as being my homies...Ab walked by and dropped something...so I freestyled something about someone "still dropping it, glock, you aren't popping it outlined in chalk and spit, thinking your stalking shit"
That's when Ab jumped in my face with a battle...it wasn't direct nor meant to be , but you made it worth it's weight. We had a good size 20-30 people audience on the inside ooooing and aaaaahing as I served...we went back and forth about 3-4 times and ended with me rhyming and you, obviously frustrated, pushing me asking for me to fight inside the club while I was still rhyming. After the third push, security started to break it up and you were screaming let's take it outside....I agreed on a rhyme level not a fight level....When we loudly faced up outside..we started rhyming simultaneously...someone scram one at a time so I let you spit yours for a good 30 bars...when I was on my 3rd bar you interupted over me so people wouldn't be able to hear your embarrassment. So I kept on rhyming, taking what you were saying, throwing it back at you with rhyming context, saying your next words before you said it then following with disses that rhymed and still climbed on your next...outside, I was entirely rhyming till you started pushing again...then fronting like you were going to hit me cuz I was telling you It wasn't about fighting, it's about lyrics...not physical but lyrical...while you were pretending to swing saying "see , you flinched"....outside, my rhymes weren't heard past two bars due to interuptions from you...I can remember you saying "no one memorizes your songs, no one knows your lyrics" Which of course is untrue...Abstract himself has qouted bars of my older songs to me a number of times in the past which I genuinely appreciated and respected. After trying to draw me into a fight with sunspot in between us...you actually stole one on me...I'm bigger than that...as drunk as I was I knew I was beyond that...heads know I can fight...I'm not about that anymore...pushing 30...got bigger things to do than throw blows, shoot people, stab peeps, call hits etc...let alone in hip hop...there's nuff violence in the streets I grew up in...seen it, been through it , moving past it and staying above it...my mind's more powerful than that...yeah, you were frustrated....I am loud and aggresive, there was a spectacle...and spectators..some kids where chanting abstract, others jizzm, the abstract chant was louder....battle wasn't over...you swung on me... and one of the same kid's that was chanting abstract, turned and chanted "abstract's wack"...you tried to chase after him too...possesed by alcohol or satan? or just evil thoughts unleashed? or is it all the same for you...Me , I'm a happy drunk most of the time...instead of violent, I'd rather party with fine ladies, hook up, get a lap dance j/k...fun shit
It is what it is...
I looked you dead in your eyes and asked you to check your spiritual way of being...told you that you should be beyond fighting...what did I get in a reply..."let's take a walk, Jizzm, and see how hard you really are"
check yourself....Don't play yourself...
It is what it is...
Would one battle record justify the cause?
two? three? an albums worth?
What MC gets swung on and takes it with a grain assault? or turns the other cheek?
When I got swung on, my other cheek was in your face hitting you back with reason.
Does fighting justify it?
Would a gunfight justify it? (You were screaming at me telling me you are a "rider", that you're a "G"?)
Am I a G? not...grew up with them, threw down with and against them...I'm not a "G" I'm definately original, not gangtsa.
I Never was, never will be.
Are you really a gangsta...killa? banger?rider?
Sarcastic, but real...
This is hip hop...b-boys, b-girls, breakers, graf writers, dj's, beatmakers, MC's...
It is what it is...

Not to mention any names, because these are people you also befriend and respect, plus I won't name names for unneccesary problems..he say, she say nonsense...after the altercation, many of the people, artists and dj's who witnessed came and shook my hand,(got numerous phone calls) telling me I was the bigger man for not fighting, saying there was a reason you threw blows instead of keeping it lyrical...saying you were wrong etc. Just thought I mention that. Even funnier, some kid asked me if we staged it?

It is what it is...

Yup.. and now THEY'VE MADE IT OUR BUSINESS... so neither one of them has the right to get pissed off because people are talking about their "beef" on the internet.. this time, it's the artists who are spreading rumors..

because if we know what they know, and they know we know what they know, they know that they want us to know what they know, or they wouldn't have let us know, you know?

Do you percieve your favorite rappers to be greater than everyone else? "Authority distortion"? Jizzm has no "authority" over me or anyone else here, son.

They're only human, cuz. Time to tear down camp on the penis, kad.
