Mear's Material Possesion is dope... i am drawn to clouds and the sky.... alot of my work is based on cloud formation... Shrooms + watching clouds on the beach = inspired artist....

do you know if his Mumia piece was either sold or copied... I think I saw it at Mumia's rally in the city last year..

While I like the idea I don't like the execution on Mear's painting.
As for the Mickey pic - I don't think that's Kaws. His paintings are more graphic based (mono-chromatic, clean lines - I'm sure you know already...and yes, he's done more "painterly" paintings, but I don't think this is one of them). I don't know who did it, but it's been used as a sticker for El-P's "Dead Disnee". I really like this painting - both the idea AND execution!

As far as the Mear/Bush painting, i understand your feelings towards the execution, but i think it's meant to give the feel of an older, political cartoon... hence the oily, characature(spl?) look.

I could be worng, thats just what i take away from the piece.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised. Remember hearing about how that American kid who joined the Taliban posted on hiphop message boards?...
