prices on livin in cali

im seriously thinking about leaving missouri, and moving to cali. primarily to go to school.
im not sure what school, because that doesnt really matter..im more concerned with the prices of renting apartments etc.
over here im paying $700 for a house close to campus, we r three boyz, so its like $263 per person. with electricity, bla bla its like close to $400.

anyways, i really thing the chicks would like me more in cali, coz im a italian like guy. these missouri gals r scandalous.

to get to my point: who here is goin to college in cali? and if you could put a link to that school... would be dope, so i could check it all out.

thanks lots.

Universiry of California campuses

California State University campuses

And in addition, there are of course private institutions.

California is a lot more expensive than Missouri. For my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment 1 mile away from campus (UC Davis), it is $1,110 (3 people=$370 per person) + utilities. Tuition for California colleges have gone up considerably this year (I think ~30%) and the cost of living in this state isn't getting any lower. If you are financially stable (via student loans, parental assistance, financial aid from the government), then go for it. If not, it could get pretty tough.

MO is wack... unless you're visiting. cali can be a lot of fun.

try it out, but if you're trying to make it on your own trust me you got tough times ahead of you. for me it's worth it, because i enjoy being close to the beach, and all the subcultures keep it interesting. if you're really sick of where you live. then cali is one place to be

Yo if you're trying to go to school out here, I'm pretty sure it's VERY expensive if you're not officially a resident of the state. Not too mention it's expensive as hell to live anyplace outside of the sticks up north, Fresno or the desert.

I'm sure it would be an adventure if you think you can afford it though.

You got that right. UC Davis says :

*Students who are not residents of California must pay an additional fee of $19,194 annually.

Shiet that's like paying 2-3 times the tuition of a resident.
