Yeah, I doubt that they'd be like, "Oh, thanks for returning the goods but we were lying there's really nothing in it for you."

They'll hook you up with something for sure.

Yeah, I'm unsure what the kids wrote, but there will be a full post about it all some day soon. Many of the writers in NM and Texas have contacted us direct and know who they are. I'm sending their names to all the graf writers and bands I know in North America to bring the awareness to the situation in a full press release. There is no fame gained under these circumstances to the three writers in NM and one in Austin who wrote on our home for the next three weeks. It's like if I know a writer in a town and find out where he lives, so I go and tag my name on his house or car...does this really make sense to anyone and does it make me a great artist? The real graf writers of the world would never bottom feed by writing on the home of another artist. I wrote graf since the 80's and always lived by a code with it and never in a million years would I go to a band's show and then wrap my night up by tagging their tour bus. This happens way too much and just gets billed back to the band-more than what's it's worth of course and the tags are always wack... maybe I would appreciate it a small bit if the tags were at least good, but they're not.

As a touring band, we pay close attention to trying to keep low ticket prices, selling merch at reasonable prices and just being fair to the kids who come to shows as much as possible. Next time you want to go to a show and wonder why the ticket price is higher, it could be partially due to the graf damage that's done at venues during shows. Sometimes there's clauses in contracts charging back to the artists/promoters (I've even cleaned walls myself after shows to avoid charges). We've lost several all age venues over time due to the same issue. This has been a problem for sometime and really how much fame can you gain by writing your name in a bathroom stall?

Yeah, some kid tagged the bus and yeah I chased him and lost my bag in the process. I learned a lesson from it. But, I do think it's messed up that some kid from the show not only stole my bag while this was going on, but my hat that flew off my head as well. Whatever, it is what it is.

I have a very deep respect for graffiti, it's been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but please keep in mind everytime you write in club restroom, tour bus or van that can and does effect the artist, promoter, venue and in turn can cause problems with shows coming to your town at fair prices in good venues.

Sorry for rambling...I'm in New Orleans and have a hang over.

i feel ya j-bird, and yeah it's wack, but the fact remains, it happens all the time. it's not like atmosphere was the first. i have seen the legends bus tagged, the a-team rental van tagged, and tons of others. and yeah, any true writer would never do it, but it still always happens. usually the vehicle's insurance covers that kind of vandalism, i've never heard of the artists having to pay for it. venues is a different story though. it sucks you lost your shit though. next time just chuck a rock at the little bastards. that or chase 'em down in the bus itself. that's the best way.
