Interesting question.

For best album of the 2000s, I'd have to go with...

Brother Ali "Shadows On The Sun" or Unknown Prophets "Road Less Traveled" or Big Jess "Good Clean Fun 2 - The Super Jump-Off". I know, local acts that nobody probably gives a fuck about, but these albums have touched my soul and changed the way I will forever look at hip-hop. So they must get my vote...

Yep, but I'd personally take "Fun DMC". That's their best IMO. But damn, I dig that new one too. Thes One's beats have gotten better IMO. Which is why I like the newer shit...but all their shit is dope as hell.

put a few personal favorites,
then try to add one or two albums that have affected hip hop in the last few years..

example:
Dre's Chronic 2001 would have made the list, but it came out in '99.
That album had a huge impact, and represents a standard for quality

Nas- Hip Hop Is Dead
Not my choice for my favorite album of the decade but this album affected hip hop. or it might of not been the album that affected hip hop but the album title cause since this album dropped everyone has been saying that hip hop is dead.

It's a little early, but OB4CL 2 could get thrown in the mix.
