I love how the blogosphere is all over California's nuts, but still haven't cracked the surface of what the Pacific coast has to offer. After overlooking the overwhelming talent of Los Angeles' Swim Team Crew, missing the originality of cats like Micah James and ignoring the lush production of beat wizards like Freddie Joachim, it's time that the bigger blogs ride the train through LA's subterranea and put their ear on this new free EP from lyricists Intuition and VerBS.

The Buzz EP is an raucous upbeat romp through their daily lives filled with humor, emotion, passion, and desire for something more. With an outstanding production lineup (featuring Dibiase, Equalibrum, Alpha MC, Aspect 1 and Fudd Burton), and two razor sharp emcees at the helm, this EP is bound to turn some heads and, dare we say, create a buzz.

For Rhymesayer fans I would highly recommend Intuition's debut record, Stories About Nothing, which listens like a long lost Rhymesayer classic; full of heartfelt rhymes, crisp atmospheric beats, and attentive lyrics from one of the West Coast's most talented unknowns.

VerBS, on the other hand, is an MC that I myself am just getting more familiar with, but from what I have heard fans of Murs would appreciate his direct and brazingly honest delivery and content, as well as his invigorating on stage presence.

But, before peeping out their solo material, I would flip on their latest collaborative effort.

Below is their free EP, "Buzz," and after listening front to back a few times late last night I can safely say this is an EP you will want to hear before you hit your pillow tonight. LA, Alaska and the entire unknown West Coast-- STAND UP!
