Sunday's (1/12) Simpson's....

Was fucking hilarious. One of the best new new ones i've seen in a while. I dig the ones about Homer and Lisa.....

On a side note, i got a fresh Simpsons desk calender today. Oh yeah.

is it the Simpsons trivia calendar? if so, i got that one for x-mas. it's sweeeet.

and yeah, that actually was a very good episode. i usually don't laugh out loud when i'm watching tv (even when it's funny), i just smile or laugh in my brain i guess, but that episode had me laughing out several times. i should download it right now, i have to see it again. Yeah, it's the trivia one. Today on the menu:

In "Homer Loves Flanders" (1F14) Ned swears he's not "hepped up" on.....?

a. Church sermons
b. Holy water
c. Goofballs.

They're to easy though... i've gotten every single one (bought the calender late, so i tore into it up to the 15th this morning) with out really even thinking.......

it's goofballs ain't it? i forgot what happened in sunday's episode because we went and saw lord of the rings ii right afterwards. that movie was so tight. way better than the first one. i think the best part was when the elf dude swung around onto the horse, if anybody remembers that part. shmeagle was funny to me. everyone else was like, 'i can't stand that annoying little fuck.' i liked his expressions.

haha yea when legolas hopped on the horse, what a trip. and yea the 2nd lotr was way better than the 1st.

sundays episode was:

"The Dad Who Knew Too Little (#EABF03 / SI-1403) 12 Jan 2003

After Homer gets Lisa an inappropriate birthday present, Homer worries that he is losing touch with Lisa, so he hires a private investigator to find out more about her. Guest stars Elliot Gould. "

this Sunday, Marge gets addicted to steroids!! (i think it's this sunday, or the next.. i forget, but it should be funny)

Gollum was the freshest... just the character and personality he has was dope. That movie pretty much blew my interpretation of the descriptions from the book out of the water. The battle scenes were so dope. I was diggin the part when the Ent's (the treebeard) came up in the spot knocking heads and broke the dam...anyway, Peter Jackson did a GREAT job with those movies... i can't wait for the third.

I'm a mad nerd when it comes to those books... my dad was way into them, and i must have read them 5 times when i was younger.......

That would be dope......

Yeah, Sunday's episode was pretty damn funny. It's great that The Simpson's is getting funny again - a couple of years ago it was horrible. As long as they stay away from having celebrities appear as themselves it's usually good. Though I would like to see them get back to Homer actually going to work and the kids actually going to school - that's how most of the show has been, and it's so funny when they make stories based on their everyday lives, what with Mr. Burns, Carl, Lenny and Smithers all at the Power Plant.
By the by, I just got a Duffman figure with Moe's Bar - shit's funny as hell. He says, "Yeah, that's great, Duff wholeheartedly supports the designated driver program...NOW, LET'S GET READY TO PARTY!"

It sure was. I almost thought M.Groening was running out of ideas. I remember him even saying that the series WILL be ending soon, just recently......... It's good to see some freshness.....

God Damn, i LOVE that show.

the simpsons should have been canceled four years ago. now the writers are just ruining what was once the best show on tv. that episode had a couple semi-funny moments but in comparison to the earlier seasons it was pathetic. the plots are wack and they try to be all trendy with their jokes now instead of being original. they got no heart. instead of continuing to make wack episodes they should work on getting those dvd's out!!!!!!!

NoNeck - I definately agree that the recent seasons are no where NEAR as funny as the Golden Years, but you gotta admit that the last couple of seasons have been WAY better than the ones from about 3 years ago. But they really are making dumb ass plots - it seems Homer doesn't have a job anymore and the kids have dropped out of school and don't hang out with kids their own age...they took what use to be a show involving the whole town and turned it into a sitcom with 4 characters like any other sitcom. That was the great thing about The Simpson's - they used 100s of characters in integral roles whereas most sitcoms have 5-7 characters and will throw in some extras just to round out daily activities (waitresses, store owners, etc). I think they're still recovering from the horrible writers of a few years ago - they need to hire people who know the entire history of the show to write episodes. I heard about some show where fans of the show went head to head with the writers in Simpson's trivia and the writers didn't even know simple shit that may have only happened in one episode, but if you saw it once you'd remember it. [end rant]

Oh shit - highlife, i just saw your avatar! That's another great show! Sucks that got cancelled! My top three shows are Simpsons, Family Guy and Futurama.
