Obese Rappers

me and my boy were choppin up a dumb conversation the other night about Fat Rappers. i read some info that big pun was at 700 lbs when he died. i know theres alot of rappers talented that are over weight but does being fat turn off some listeners??
i noticed alot of people diss ill bill,necro,2mex,b ali,e40-just cuz of weight.
does it really matter on someone's size if they are dope at what they do??

Weight is a plus. Gives you that boomin bass voice.

Chubb Rock is probably my favorite. That guy is ridiculous on the mic.

the reason i brought it up-is because everytime i read something about somebody in the underground-it always like cuz they're fat/overweight..
it shouldnt matter in the underground.
now in a mainstream sense-i mean its hard to market a fat rapper-other than BIG,Fat Boys,Big Pun,Fat Joe,ETC.
i think people are way to critical about style and all the other BS and dont look at the music.
my point was when Big Pun died they said he couldnt even really live an everyday nornal life or rap because of his weight.
how is that dumb??

thought process

let me tell you why you are dumb. what type of question is this:

"i know theres alot of rappers talented that are over weight but does being fat turn off some listeners??"

hahhahahahha. this is the most ridiculous question i have ever heard. no, it does not matter. because i am not a homosexual, i really don't care what another man looks like. what another person does is there buisness. i am not going to hate them because they do not look like a.c. slater from saved by the bell.

hahahahahhahahhahahahah. I DAMN NEAR FELL OFF MY CHAIR!!

Anyway... I think your a little off base here. Look at the mainstream rappers, a lot of cats nowadays I've noticed them saying "ohh he's got swagger.." like his style of dress is nice or whatever... like that determines if they will even peep his work.

After reading his question I did not instantly think of a man being attractive or not for me to listen to him, but apparently you were the only one. People judge people nowadays I could care less if a rapper is fat, if he has dope style or "swagger." Note.. he said listeners not people.

fuck all the dumb shit. what matters is what you say. not what you look like. once again, i am surprised that anyone would question anything differently.

so then "superficial" is a new concept for you? is it shocking to learn that others out there in fact do judge books by their covers? i'm sure that this is the first time you've heard it suggest that obesity might be off putting...

OF COURSE in a perfect world looks would have no bearing on things, but gimmie a break, we all know they play a factor in most things whether we like to admit it or not.

ya looks do matter when it comes time to choosing which female i would like impregnate or which girl looks the best to choose too bend over in the gym locker room. but as choosing which emcee i am going to be playing in my car, looks do not matter. it is all about who sounds ill upon the mic not what that guy looks like upon the mic. i am not into hip hop as an image but hip hop as art form fuckhead.

no need for name calling. Some people do judge on looks and some dont. mainstream rap music is all about it. I think most of us can agree that we listen to rap as an art form, the lyrics, the beats ect... or else we would be on BET or MTV's messege board...
