Pete Rock says....
" 'The Listening' kinda brings me back to the days
when the 90's was poppin'. It's more realistic than what im hearingtoday, and sounds like these guys put a lot of work into it. I LOVE this album. Classic" -Pete Rock Soul Brother # 1 about Little Brother's "The Listening" |

The Listening is an undisputed classic. It reminds me of that mid-90's JayDee/Hi-Tek/No I.D. production, as well as Pete Rock, musically. The album has soooo much flavor. My joint is The Way You Do It. The acoustic guitar line in the opening and refrain is one thing, but I was totally fuckin' OPEN with the violin sample that plays the same line when the verses come in. FRESH. 9th Wonder is a force.
