I've actually spoken to/Interviewed John brown. You'd be surprised how seriously he takes this. Gimmick it is NOT. He actually is planning to revive the Ghetto.

Snippet from my interview with him, lol.
Fullmetal: Most people think that you originated from the East Coast, but I hear this is untrue. Where did you get your start? John Brown: I've been rapping since '95 in Davis, CA. I just kept grinding, making beats and building with Ghetto Revival until I found my niche. Fullmetal: You're a different kind of personality in music, but what do you feel you bring to the table that other people don't? John Brown: I bring that King of da Burbz shit!!! I created a throne that never existed in hip-hop, and now some want to try and take the crown. The goal for an artist is to express themselves the best way they can express themselves. It's all about doing you in the most all-encompassing manner. My job is to make sure the story of the King of da Burbz, the story of John Brown is consistently and fully expressed at all times. I can't worry about how a different artist expresses him or herself. That's their job. My job is to express myself and noone can do it like me ...ya dig?? Fullmetal: What can fans of JB expect from your album, and when is it releasing? John Brown: The King of da Burbz album will be an all-time classic for hip-hop. I'm exploring the psychology - the flossiness and the torment associated with my life. I'm covering topics that haven't been addressed in mainstream hip hop and pushing genre boundaries to reflect my versatility. You will hear darkness, triumph and everything in between on my debut project. My solo project will likely be released in the first quarter of 2008. I've been working on this project my whole life. We could release it independently right now but I want to make sure the promotion and distribution is adequate for the colossal impact that this project will have on hip-hop.

^^ read above.
Ours will release whenever I get this damn mic. Juggling all of my projects at once is difficult, but necessary. Don't intend to release trash. Might let it come out as an instrumental LP first, then release another version with rhymes over it (kinda like what the Beastie Boys had planned for their new one)

my question is why you would waste your time interviewing dude. Unless it was for laughs or you wanna make beats for his camp.

He's a pretty big website traffic draw, believe it or not, Blame. Kinda like Gillie Tha Kid when he was "exposing" Lil Wayne and whatnot.
And how much for the mic, Ricky? I knew I was gonna have to blow cash, but i gotta pick up some tech stuff this week too, lol. It'd be great to get a bargain.
