Snowboardin Camps....

So i want to ride this summer... but it looks like Mt Hood only allows registered students to use their facilities... since there is always room for improvment...(especially at my level..) i want to know if the G will be worth the 5-9 days im up there for... and will i be the oldest dumbass there.... will there be free time to just do what ever i want or will i have to follow some agenda... any info would be helpful... ive looked at a couple camps and if you know of a place that would be well worth it ... let me know....

*** you can tell im spoiling myself this summer.. whoo hoooo.. my ass is finally getting outta tha bay for a while... happy graduation and a phat credit card bill to me ( i love zero interest until 2004 deals... hahaha... but i heard applying for too many of these will fuck up your credit.......)

I've heard good things about Windell's. Sounds like they get some pro riders to teach some clinics. Also, you get to choose what you want to learn - if you're interested in pipe you'll just spend the whole time in the pipe, if you want to learn park you'll spend time on rails and kickers. I don't know how much "free time" you'll get on the mountain cos it's only open from 6:00 till 2:00 I think, but I'd imagine that you probably get a couple hours to just practice what you learned that day. Base camp is in a little town called Rhododendron (sp?) lower on Hood. Cool little town (well, not the town, but it's just surrounded by forrests and there's a river near by). And I think they have a skate park set up at their cabins, and a trampoline for practicing inverts, etc. Anyway, I really wish I had the dosh to have gone back when I was younger. Hell, I'd still consider doing it now! I'm pretty sure their webpage is windells.com, but you've probably read all about them if you've been looking into camps at Hood.
