One of my boys just left for Iraq and one just came home. Here's some pics he took over there. I think some pics are from Kuwait.

he just got back from a 3 or 4 month tour, but my other friend just left yesterday for 4 months. I'd say I got about 4 or 5 good friends over in the desert right now.

my buddy and my cousin are in the navy so they are relatively safe I suppose. my other cousin just finished up camp in Texas, and is now going to school in Oklahoma. He did not sound too happy the other day. hes AF i believe.

when u say "camp", u mean boot camp/basic training? if so, yea, thats in san antonio. i went to tech school about an hour south of oklahoma (sheppard afb) and it sucked. theres absolutely nothing out there.

my wifes stepdad is navy. he just left for EIGHT months to the gulf. and another friend of mine is in afghanistan right now.

im so happy i dont have to go out there. in a way, i wish i could cuz it gets boring doing the same ol job around here. but then again im glad i dont have to live in 125 degree desert for 3 months. see, i work on F-15C's which are mainly air-to-air jets and they dont got any air missions goin on over there right now. its all ground support. all my friends that are over there work on helicopters.

yea I think so. he either just completed basic or some schooling.

The Air Force and Navy do three to six month rotations out here in the Middle East, the Marines do up to nine, and the Army stays anywhere from 13 months, to 18.

I spent two and a half months in the New Mexico desert brushing up as an infantryman, and also became a medic while out there, and have been out here for six months come the 21st of April. Provided that shit doesn't start happening with Iran (and many other factors), I should be back home by the mid of October.

Then it's four years of school and officer training, which will be a nice four years of being guaranteed of not having to be deployed again. Very welcome.
