I'm getting my dad a super soaker and I'm gonna attach a laser to it so he can squirt the dog when it barks in their (small) backyard.

I got my mom a couple dvds and I'll probalby make her some earrings to match the necklace I gave her for her bday

Usually, I have no idea what to get for my dad.

haa... thats dope.

anyone else? need ideas for my dad. he's a simple dude which makes him hard to shop for. but he likes jazz, ferraris, beer, wine... so i guess that narrows it down a bit.

The choice is obvious....get him a Ferrari....DUH!

No, seriously maybe get him a good bottle of wine or tickest to a jazz show or some shit...or one of those beers from around the world sampler things...or sign him up for a beer list with a microbrewery...where they send you different beers and stuff every month

I'm getting my mom a Scooba Floor Washing Robot.

It executes all four cleaning steps (prep, wash, scrub and dry) on all kinds of hard floors — including tile, linoleum, marble and sealed hardwood. It vacuums and squeegees up all moisture and dirt into a separate tank — leaving hard floors squeaky clean and bone dry!

One 45-minute cleaning cycle covers a standard size kitchen.

AWARE™ robotic intelligence allows Scooba (like Roomba) to clean your entire floor efficiently, automatically and without missing a spot.

Smart sensors avoid steps and carpets and steer Scooba under and around furniture and into hard-to-reach areas.

Last year I got her a robotic vacuum cleaner.

^man, now i know where you got your laziness from! (j/p)

i still have a couple more gifts to buy but here's some stuff i bought so far:

-messaging slippers w/ memory foam
-iron skillet set w/ seasoning oils
-x-mas socks
-automatic jar/can opener
-1981 chargers vs. dolphins playoff game DVD
-phar lap DVD (the 1984 ORIGINAL seabiscuit movie. those guys totally bit this story about an even better racehorse from way back)
-gorillaz CD (we have a gift drive going at work for 4 hurricane families and one kid, maybe 15 y.o., wanted this but i think i should've got him dangerdoom also and turned him onto some underground freshness)

i'm pretty much tapped out but i need to put some thought into 2 or 3 more inexpensive gifts that are cool & useful.

FYI, i got most of these items at target & sears for decent prices.
