Turntables?
I am kinda of new to the area and am wondering if anyone knows where I can either find good deals on new or used turntables. I'm NOT a DJ, I just want to replace my old piece of shit with something nice to play records on. Also if anyone knows of a repair shop let me know, maybe I can just get my shit revamped. Please. thanks x 100

you're in north park, san diego? i'm sure there are pawn shops around there. might want to try the goodwill or salvation army. i've seen a few old school (70's-80's) tables at those places. not sure if that's what you're looking for or not, but give them a try. i know technics makes a 'standard' model, you know, something basic but i am not sure how much it costs. maybe try the vinyl exchange board at: vinylexchange.com. there is a big group of very knowledgeable folks over there that could probably help you find what you're looking for.
or, you could spring for that portable turntable janeLLe posted about. might not be to bad of an investment seeing as you can take it wherever you go. peaces.
