Beat Makers, take heed...

it'd be dope if we all collabed and did an Access hip hop opus type thing. work together, like someone lays drums, someone else picks a sample, swith it up mid way. GET FUCKIN CRAZY!!! this is a good idea if you aks me. Rappers do collab tracks, let's.

wordy word.

PS: check out my "cool story" thread, it's cool.

Yeah, congrats on the cool story thread story. Thats how you gotta do it..... drive it home that you make hot shit though... don't slip on being in touch with him.

Me and IPatch thought about this b/c we both use MPC's... we were gonna send Zip disks back and forth...

But i'm down if you can figure out a method. Only thing, is my tracks sound a little different from every one else on here....... some say they are too jazzy (by the way, this does not compute for me. Literally, i cannot understand this pharse.... does not register... does not register).

But thats the beauty of it, right.

for sure won't lose the contact. gotta do this.

as for the beat, that'd be the beauty of it... the change ups n shit, different steez. we could send files of sound via "you send it" and record it as we get it.

my sound is a little "different" too.

Don King (with his thread managment skills) should host a thread for us to dump files into and we'll designate who gets what and does whatever to that part of the beat... ...kinda like when you pass a peice of art around (or a gurl, haha)...

anystank, if we get more interested...

it'd be a cool track to be a part of if pulled of nicely. good for hook-ups and resume type shizz....

i know some of us have spoken about this concept before. a 'collaborus' of sorts as described by s...

we most def. gotta do something like this and release a lab rats instrumental monument sometime in the future.

in memorium for our banned colleauge, mad$een.

yo s..., do you know of a software program that will convert wavs and other sound files to the appropriate .snd files for an MPC 60?

I'd contribute an interlude. Or maybe the hidden track. Yeah, I'd do the hidden track.

Or if were all collabing on one track I can contribute some random noise to layer deep beneath the other instruments.... adding texture and density.

lets do an album. we'll all contribute one track to a cdr. and we'll send out copies to access board members. it'll be a "Free Madseen" compilation. Kinda like that "Free Mumia!" album only its Madseen.

I'm down for a callobo on a beat or an entire "album."

Personally I would recommend more so the album idea, because I think it would be easier on all of us, but like I said, I'm down for either.

Obstacle and I had a session and came up with some good stuff, but ultimately we didn't have the right cables or connectors or something, I don't remember exactly what the deal was but we couldn't load shit onto the zip disc. Technical difficulties piss me the fuck off... I'm dealing with that shit again trying to get a new mix onto CD.

Come on other beat makers, lets get this shit moving.

How do we want to do this? Small album with a track contributed from everyone, and a few callobos between those of us who can swap files back and forth. OR one massive track?

I'm about to echo myself, but I think the album idea would be best, just because there would be some difficulties on all of us on one track, due to equipment differences.

Be excited.
