Del was featured on the Phesto solo album. Maybe that was recorded a long time ago tho.

Usually I wouldn't think there's any truth to that, but with the recent events within the Living Legends crew I believe something like this could be possible. I think Del may be getting further and further away from the crew and Hiero Imperium lately.

I don't think that Hiero will go down like LL. There was recently an event at UC Berkeley with the whole crew including Del. Pics were up on the main page. I think that Del has just been so super involved with his own personal projects that he is trying to coordinate promotions and tours for that. He is doing the Deltron shows, preparing for the release of Attractive Sin and completing his third mixtape. He has been a busy dude lately. I am sure that eventually they will coordinate a whole Hiero Tour with Del. Maybe once they drop a Hiero EP or album.

We good. Del is taking time off after the loss of his brother. He will be in Canada and @ Rock The Bells doing a couple Deltron sets this year, but that's it. I don't know what's going in with other crews but we stay solid.

Tajai - Any chance you will be adding some Midwest dates to this tour for late fall? I would love to catch this in Wisconsin or even Chicago.

Great show a couple weeks ago at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. The Hiero Crew (minus Del) was all there. Heard some new beats/raps I didn't recognize, so maybe some future-album tracks. Most MCs rapped some solo material, and of course a bunch of classic crew tracks. Casual had a lot of mic time. In-all, a typical high-quality Hiero event.

The Santa Cruz crowd didn't show-up in full force like prior Hiero shows. I remember a Hiero show last year where the Catalyst completely sold-out. This recent show was maybe 2/3 capacity. Good energy in the crowd tho by the folks that did make it.

What is it about Hip Hop shows where you can never be sure about what time to get there? I usually shoot for an 11 to 11:30 arrival time. Too early and you're standing around listening to a random DJ (usually playing radio-friendly jams). On this night, we got to the Catalyst at 11:30, and Hiero was already rockin the stage! I guess that's a risk you take.

God Tajai, we miss you on the east coast. When will we see you in the DC/MD/VA area again? Last time I can remember you guys coming around was the Souls show in Brooklyn a few years ago.

I tried to see the August 7th show in Arcata (Humboldt County), with the VIP tickets but it got cancelled. And of course it wasn't listed as cancelled on the Hiero site until the 8th. I was pretty bummed but I did see some old friends so it wasn't a total loss. I really want to hear these guys rock some of the new solo stuff. Maybe next time.
