Yeah he was bragging and boasting on those albums but he was doing it in a creative way which is what he lacks now. His rhyming has become too one dimensional and lack of places to go with it which is why he reverts so saying DZL ten times. Sometimes it's hard for me to put it in words but maybe it just boils down to his old style was just more fun. I kinda miss the video game sound production. Even like obscure little singles he had out there like Help Me Out, Hoe!!, Cyberpunks. Those were fun ass songs chorus and all. I have hope though because I've heard glimpses of what he's trying to do of mixing his new style with his old style. He did his thing on Parallel Universes. I just hope he does his thing on Event 2 because 3030 was such a dope ass album and if you're going to do a 2 come crazy dope with it or just leave it alone
I agree with you for the most part. His rhyming does seem "forced" during the last 6 or so years.

But I gotta' give credit when credit is due...I'm probably on my 9th listen through Attractive Sin and I truly think it's fantastic now. He rips on this album more than he has on anything else in YEARS. It might seem forced at times, but during other moments he is breaking down crazy rhyme patterns! I went from being disappointed with Attractive Sin to thinking it's phenomenal. One of the best releases of the year IMO. Some songs lack a chorus, but even then it's just ill to hear him spit bars the whole damn song! And the ones that do have little hooks are actually pretty nice. Listen to the chorus on "Show's Over"... it's on par with other choruses he's constructed in his career. Del came through BIG thanks to Parallel Thought's heat. It's as if Parallel Thought has rejuvenated Del. Or at least helped him focus.

But still, 11th Hour and all of the free/$3 mixtapes Del has released have been pretty much hot garbage.
