presence and comradery cross over in BDP&T! My only question, why is
it so short?! Yet another solid, sure to be slept on San Diego

Now on vinyl! In 1985, a young and homeless Lawrence Krisna Parker
(aka KRS-One) met social worker Scott Sterling (Producer/DJ Scott La
Rock) at a Bronx shelter. They hooked up with (uncredited) producer
Ced Gee from the Ultramagnetic MC's to cut "South Bronx" and "The
Bridge Is Over," monumental records which toppled the Queens-based
Juice Crew and forever cemented the Bronx's place in the history of
hip-hop. These tracks, along with the sublime "Poetry" and the
shocking "9mm Goes Bang," formed the basis of the now classic full
length Criminal Minded. As the record took off, Scott La Rock was
killed in a street-side shooting while coming to the aid of BDP
rapper/producer/ protege D-Nice.

recording basement tapes to an eclectic, abstract hip-hop wordsmith,
crafting refined albums for a worldwide audience of musical diversity
through his two CD and two vinyl release through Chicago's ReSERVED
Records and The Secret Life of Sound. You can find him on tracks with
everyone from Maker of Glue to Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox. Gilead has
teamed up with MC/producer I.B. Fokuz (hip-hop composer of several
McDonald's commercials and founding member of Tomorrow Kings) to
create ADVENT: A Modern Bible. ADVENT is the first installment of a
sonic experiment rooted in an understanding of life as the quest to
generate an ever evolving "heaven on earth," as opposed to looking
toward a blissful afterlife that the greatest theologians and
philosophers have failed to prove even exists. Produced in full by
I.B. Fokuz, both MCs use this backdrop of epic melodic textures and
hard-hitting drums to redefine Christianity and all of religion as
not an otherworldly water pill, but a philosophy of generating
progressive positive evolution within the joy and pain of the world.
Gilead7 and I.B. Fokuz's ADVENT makes the case that the aim of
holistic justice (racial, social, economic, ecological) in the world
fulfills the goal of "religion," regardless if the Hindu or the
atheist work towards it.

seminal Operation: Doomsday is available in this unique and destined
to be collectible incarnation without the puzzle. Of course you can
see how gorgeous this 7" dime looks in the accompanying picture. What
you don't see is that the gauge of the vinyl is extra thick, almost
like a 7" manhole cover. This is a must have for any and all DOOM
