Listeing to it right now and a big YAY!!! I am 10 cuts in and not a bad one in the bunch and the one with MC Breed is actually nice. Breed back in the days was nice. This is maybe better than the LMNO EP.

I haven't heard it yet, but JayDee rarely lets me down.

favorite basslines in the biz.

The Slum Vill MC's have always been weak, but it's more about JayDilla.... parallel to Primo and Group Home, SLum just went farther.

iv been thinking about gettin this, br gunna are tight producers even tho some of those beats sound pop, but they spit about ice and rims too much, like that first beat is ill, but then they ruin it with weak raps(especially phatkat) elzih spits nice on a couple of tracks, anymore feedback?

is slum village like the menudo of hiphop or something? their line-up changes slightly with every single major release. i'm feelin the original 3... even if most of y'all don't like their lyrics.. it was raw and they have a real great sense of rhythym..

Fantastic Vol. 2 = Classic to me.

The "lyrics" on that were basically just more instruments.... and yeah, rhythm... like another rhythm section.

That's a big 10 - 4 on that...

I got in the 3.99 bin and was so, so happy when I was listening to it for the first time... One of the best finds I made in my listening career!!!

I actually saw Slum Village last night (and D....YAWN....12) and they absolutely killed it. Did a bunch of gems off of Vol. 2 (namely Climax... cheah) and a bunch of new jawns that were real hot. I had no idea T3 had flows like that! My man was up there soundin' like Kweli or some shit.... absolutley ripped it. Also, when they rocked Tainted, they had the Justin Bua video playing on the big screen.... real sick.

they were by far the highlight of the show. I did NOT expect their live show to be that hype......

WEAK sauce. I'm not just saying that because he's sorry either, he was WACK. Lemme break down his set... (i shit you not):

3 minute song.
30 second hook (for real, all he said for 30 secs--->)("Fuck them niggas ova there!")
30 second hook ("Fuck you, you fat motherfucker!")
10 minutes of his DJ playing Lil John records (serious).
30 second hook ("Fuck them niggas in the VIP!")
30 second hook ("Fuck them niggas steppin on my shoes in the club!")
I ain't neva scared

done.
He gets about as crazy as Mr Rogers drinking NyQuil.

I'm serious.

SV was the highlight no question.
