why do people need to have 15's or 12's or whatever in their trunk. i roll by people in my car and they have the bass up so damn high. what the hell? not only does it drone out the rest of the beat, but it almost completely eliminates the lyrics. is this 'cool' ? and is the beat more enjoyable when its just a bassline? like i said already, i dont get it.

i ride in my old ass honda with a stock sound system and i can turn it up, still hear the lyrics/bass and im satisfied. i can understand buying new speakers or whatever, but i dont see why some fools need 12 inch subs. to me, there is a delicate balance to music, why screw it up by making the bass out of wack? some one please explain.

If you have a GOOD system, wired well with good crossovers and enough power coming out of your amp to actually power today's speakers, it doesn't "drown out" anything.... if you have speakers that have a silky high-end (some nice 6x9's) to accompany your subs, music will never sound better. However, if you just have like... two 15" solobarics and a weak amp and no tweet's, you'r shit will sound terrible.

Fuck that dumb shit, i love a good, slumpin system.

Fuck that dumb shit, i love a good, slumpin system. If your amp is on point and your front stage is sweet (like you said) you don't even need the other Solo. I have that setup and I lost count of the number of times someone thinks I have two Solo's back there.

Hell yeah, my homie has ONE solo 10" and it literally sounds like 3 or 4 regular 12's

my boy big al actully prefers not to hear the lyrics. in the blazer he puts it on superbass. he loves 808. that sunspot song that samples "died in your arms tonight"..... hes never heard the lyrics, he just puts it on and gets juiced off the basskick on superbass, cause my friend has shitty 6x9s and one 10 that pounds cause its a blazer! i think its funny.
