What is your favorite Roots album and why?
Do You Want More is my favorite. I like it better than the stuff from illadelph on because it is more unpolished and grittier than the new stuff and it is better than organix because the song quality is more professional structured.

do you want more for the same reason as orbit1. illidelph halflife is hella dope though.
The more things change. You got me is my favorite rap song. Erykah my favorite singer so that helps. Also this is their pinnacle present release. You know that one album where an artist cements his feet in the ground so to speak. Like aquemeni, and Hard Knock Life.
I honestly think that they get better and better with every album. The way that Phrenology is arranged is ridic.
Though i'd say my favorite album is Illadelph, probably because of sentimental reasons.....
But Questlove seems like he just shows more and more skill on every project... he's easily one of my favorite musicians ever. I wish he would drop a Soulquarians album. That shit would be DUMB hot!

i cant choose but do you want more was my first as well so i guess ill take that one
Do You Want More. Why? I don't know, I just feel it. I think its more melodic or some shit. But all their albums are tight, and they're all different, too. the roots are the shit, you can't be mad at em.

You're the first person I've heard like that album. It's way to different for me. Did any of you guys like it? Real different from do you want more, illidelph halflife, and things fall apart.

It's for sure different, but i definitley like a few songs on there. I just think ?uestlove is an amazing musician..... a perfect example would be what he did for D'Angelo on his albums, as well as the Philadelphia Experiement.
Who's up on the Soulquarians? I wish they would all do an album together.
The Soulquarians are: Common, Mos Def, James Poyser, Erykah Badu, Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson, D'Angelo, Q-Tip, Bilal and Jay Dee.
What? How sick would that be?

Organix is probably my favorite Roots album because of the way it sounds.. maybe the way it was recorded? I like how it sounds more like a HipHop band, not just a HipHop group.
i like phrenology quite a bit...but i guess its still not one of my favorites tho.
that punk song into the next song....ill

I'd have to say "Do you want more?". It just had that calm, cool and collective vibe all the way through the album. I also dig the cover art of it (I'm a huge fan of cover art).
