alright man..it is killing me now...(the funniest thing is...I taped it off a show I now host and have done for over 13 years)
This is the joint...these are the only clues I have
It was released in 88, around the same time as
JVC Force and Tall Dark & Handsome
It had a very raw New York sound, it used the "amen brother"at a slower pitch and the ufo's waahh-wah-wah-s (that were a staple in the lates 80's)
The MC drew his lines out like this...
"Bank to the roll...roll to the...bank
you make a move I;ll cut you like a ..shank"
The DJ cut up DJ Ace (ace...ace...ace)
The chorus was either "Live It Up Or Give It Up"
The B-side used an Issac Hayes loop and a Jackson 5 sample (I'll Be There") which the DJ cut up...
There is a mention of Ace and Action
But it's NOT Masta Ace, or Nice and Smooth ("Dope Not Hype")
I only have it on a tape and the quality is shit..I will pay good $$ for this record...as it is my most sought after joint EVER...
I need this on mp3 or CD, record of course would be ill....
so who can help me?..pleasssseeeeee
