Ok, so I kind of lag in discovering new tunes. I have a hard time listening to new music when I'm really into something. So it's been a long time coming for me to pick up Emanon. Blacc's lyrics are f*cking insane. I am in awe of his prolific versus which are so incredibely deep and filled with substance. I like his new solo LP as well. Xile is tight but after a while of listening to the Emanon - anon & on LP I feel the beats are too similar. Similar sounding or not they are unreal. The LP is cool I just listen to it too much.
Next I was turned on to Blame One by Will @ Access. THanks Willow. THis shit is ill. I also dig dr oop a lot. HIs track on Drez's new album is un f*cking real.
So I tried to give you a taste for what I've been feeling lately. Please help me out to discover more artists with similar styles. Or maybe some good Dr Oop tracks to bump.
This is my first post. You guys seem cool. PEace & One luv!

Be sure to pick up any of the old Emanon material if you can,
Exile(of Emanon) made a few mix tapes all of which are classic in my opinion. One side is a mix & the other side is Emanon tracks, and most of these tracks are only available on these tapes.
Look for:
Exile-Imaginary Friends-96/97?
Exile-Dawn's Second Coming
These and Rip one's mixtapes are some of the best mixtapes I have owned. They had some reissues of the Imaginary Friends mixtape at Access but I believe they are sold out.
I have seen Dawn's Second Coming on ebay from time to time and it never goes for much because people sleep on it.
I believe these are out of print now, pick them up if you ever see them.
