I hear you actually. but at the same time, I don't think it's always the one or the other. Like I prefer 'natural' women: you don't need to wear make up (but please shave the appropriate parts, like upper lip, etc). you actually don't need to wear skin tight clothes. to me there's something like natural beauty, along with something I like to call 'standard beauty' or barbie beauty. I'm not going to front. if some chick, that has a nice body, strolls along, she can get my attention, like anything that's flashing in my face.

at the same time however, she'll be interesting as long as I'm excited, or as long as I try to prove to myself, that I can excite someone like her. but there's no beauty that can make a conversation interesting. there's no beauty in a mask, as it does not make the one underneath it beautiful (so chill on that war paint ladies).

I think it's somewhat a waste of time to argue against beauty standards, because that's what excites us. and we are excited by what's rare. often what we don't have, or what would be hard to get. and we are often ascribing beautiful persons with other attribues we like, like intelligence, what only makes them futher admirable.

however, you can't really let this get to you. first of all, there's nothing you can really change about it, and I refuse to let things get to me that I can't change (like my standard unimpressive looks).

I myself will certainly get excited by beauty. but I'm easily bored and my excitement quickly wears off. as with someone interesting (who can quote the LL for example), I think I'll have more in common that will create excitement.

thus as harsh as it sounds: maybe I'll only ask you second to go out with me for a cup of tea. but I'll ask YOU for a second time to go out with me for a cup of tea.

the way things are here in LA it's like i go to shows w/ my boys and guys start looking at me like i don't belong there ( i know it's unusual to see girls at hip hop shows) but even though all i ever wear is Jeans and hoodie, i still get skinny guys sayen, yo i'm 2mex...like wtf?? so when i'm singing along to all the songs they're just like intimidated because they let their ego run wild...i have no faith in meeting someone at a show, but maybe if they're not intimidated by my friends who are all guys i might just find Mr. Right..who knows, but i know where yer coming from girl..it's a universal problem.

I think the most important aspect of woman is being open - minded. Everything else is decoration. And don't get me wrong, decoration is definitely key towards creating a magnetic something something between people, but for any relationship to have substance, the open mind is key. For example, I knew it was true love with girly when she let me take her to my fave spot in my pickup. Not to be too randy, but the blissful evening included jumper cables, a rusty spoon, a coat hanger, and a dog with three legs. I have to stop because I am making myself hot.

you know what though? i' have friends who are into other scenes in the underground and at punk shows i can have an actually conversation w/ a green haired mohawk punk who knows about all my favorite charles bukowski books...at a mod show i can talk to some mod guy about the whole mod vs. skin heads deal...they're like the furthest thing from what i would think i would attract seeing as how i'm don't wear crazy make up, fishnets or dress anything like a chick out of the 60's...maybe it's just the guys at hip hop shows who just don't have any game j/k...and yeah guys at hip hop shows are so freaken rude, i was at an atmosphere show alone because it was a thursday and my friends had to be at school at 8 am the next day..well since i don't have a first or second i was like too bad for u i'm going...this guy just put his hands on my waist and i turned around like wtf?! and cussed him out this girl who was there w/ her boyfriend and some of his homies was like, "there u are!" and was really nice to me, she told me to stay there w/ her n her homies because most guys that night were all assholes...even slug noticed my going off on this dude and said, "just because there are girls here doesn't mean you can all act like fucking savages!" i might have hit it off w/ one of the her friends but he was like wayy too into drugs and i'm straight edge.

To answer the question on the mind of the women, I don't think to many guys would get all egotistical about having a female approach them, maybe a bit flattered, nervous or even appaled. I don't see why the guy must always be the predator. Believe it or not a lot of men are shy, it's not about having the balls, its just an insecurity for most. this thread is getting too long.. but my 2 cents-- i prefer the 'plain jane' type girls over the girls that dress sexy in public. if yer a guy or girl just tryin to hook up with someone w/o anything serious, then a club, bar, etc is the right place. but don't expect shit. it will never last. i usually hook up with girls at school or work and go for the 'plain jane' girls. cus they tend to be less fake and keep it real. the girls that dress hella sexy are usually teases and won't even let you get at them behind close doors. they jus want the attention. besides, usually the 'plain jane' type girls are the more freakiest. the girls that are hella smart in class that you think are just all about school. but if you talk to them outside of class, their personality is actually way cooler. i dunno. i'm just babblin. but if i just want to have fun, i'll get at the girls that dress hella sex and if i get dissed, its like whatever. but the 'plain jane' girls are much better. . . depending on what you want.

so im gonna respond too. as a female at shows, there is no love from the males. they are either staring, or rude. they dont say, wassup or nothing. a couple times ive had guys come up to me and buy me a drink, but that was about it. thats cool, but guys need to feel free to come make the females feel more welcomed. not by grabbing our asses, im sure the other females on this board feel me on that one. but really there are girls at the shows that are dressed like for going to a club, with the titties out and high heels on, thats kinda funny to me. you do question their motives when they dress like that. but who knows, you cant judge a book by its cover, thats for damn sure.

well.. most guys just want to fuck with no strings attached if yer below age 23 or around that age. the reason is because we're young. there is no reason to settle down until we're older. we're in our prime. we're young and just want to have fun. a wise person once sed, "might as well have sex with a lot of girls yer age now, cus when yer 40, you'll be paying for that shit." lol anyways, we aren't gonna get serious until later on in life.
