the austin show..

first off.. the show was fucking good. omd and busdriver were dope. i love their beats.. afterlife is the shit. eyedea and ablilities ripped it of course.. and the legends tore it up considering the events that transpired. from the start of the legends set.. shit started getting weird.

a fire alarm was pulled

the cops came

they decided too many people were in the building and that 80 needed to leave. they gave the club 40 minutes to get them out. they started hunting minors down, getting people to head out, etc. after 30 minutes they had almost done it when the cops decided time was up.

as scarub was rapping the cops go up on stage and take the mic's from the legends hands. the crowd is going nuts and people started throwing shit and yelling. instantly the cops pull out their mace and start spraying the crowd. all the legends scatter off stage and as they do are throwing shit at the cops too. it was complete chaos. everyone was choking and coughing as they mished outside. cops were swarming the club.

outside they had cops on horse back, cops with riot helmets, cops cops cops cops cops. it was retarded, totally excessive. THEN it snowed? waay too weird. snow doenst happen in texas. a girl got trampled by a cop on a horse, ambulance came, etc.

the show was fucking good though.. only wish i could do it all again.

Eeek, that show sounds too wild for me. I saw the Legends in Austin last February, and it was a great show, but none of those events occurred. I bought my ticket today for the show tomorrow here in Dallas.

Murs ripped it here in October with Slug and Blueprint on the God Loves Ugly Tour, best show I've been to so far. I'm hoping the show tomorrow is at least on the same level of that show. That show in October could have been better, but Slug was losing is voice:( He still gave a dope performance though.

they mentioned something about a riot the night before... sounds kinda crazy. i don't know if this is related at all but eligh and murs were not at the show on saturday. psc mentioned something about them being pussies and staying up at the hotel. i was kinda disappointed about that, but otherwise the show was dope. the venue was small so the crowd was live. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to scarub!!!!!

Damn, I drove from San Antonio to Austin ta go n see it n couldnt get in. I should have had y'all get me some tix b4hand... I'll do that next time. iIt would have been a waste but luckaly I got there early n went diggin n found some gems. I was gonna go ta Houston but didn't kinda glad now cus I really wanted ta peep MURS.

fans out here are some of the most dedicated. so, i hope that the police stupidity dosent discourage them from coming back. the show was dope. throwing bottles at cops is fun. hitting them is better.i really hope that poor girl who got trampled gets her medical bills paid for by the bitch police. psc got sprayed right in the face, that fool couldn't see. the cops hated on their album sales and possible afterparty antics. craziness; i've been to lots of shows here, and have never seen the cops shut shit down like that. i never knew hip hop was so illegal. omd/awol, fools inc. in two weeks. pretty soon "underground" will take over the overground. believe.

dam i got ther before the doors opened and probably was lik 70th person in line or someshit, not sure, anyhow i was four people away from getting in and then the dude said the show was sold out and only the people who had tickets already could get in.. so i was like fuck that bullshit. mercury is gay as hell.. id say about 70 othr people couldnt get in either, next time yall come around it should be at a bigger or better place, emos is good too. probably would have got more mulah also from people wanting to see ur show, i dont know if they let more people in afterward but i left once they announced that bullshit. i got to the show before the doors opened too.. wack, anyhow thats the first time i havnt been able to get in to a show i wanted to see, i drove from S.A. also,

yeah...that austin show was wierd. But at the end....Instead of getting booted out when the cops sprayed my ass, I got dragged off by some dude by the shoulder...I thought I was getting arrested.....I was led into this little room in the back with like 3 other chicks, then all the legends came in.....it was pretty cool. who ever that guy was, thanks man. thanks to all the legends for letting me chill till all the crazy shit was over. peace.

It was definitely one tight show, the best I've been to in a long time (even despite the police bullshit).. Once again, the living legends rocked the place. I especially liked the fact that they preformed a few songs from their smaller groups (3MG, etc.)..I was completely elated all night, I swear.

I SINCERELY hope that the course of actions at the end of the night (aka- mace, power-tripping police) don't discourage the legends from coming back to Austin.. Afterall, the crowd was completely into the show, and completely in support of the legends..So if any of the crew out there ever checks out the boards (which is unlikely..but you know)- please come back to Austin in the future. We love you! ;D

I almost feel guilty that all that shit happened in my city, even though I obviously didn't have a part in it.

how much drama can you have in one show? im glad im not staying in texas, shit sounds crazy. i cant imagine going to a show and someone getting ran over by a horse. anyways im sorry all you had to go thru that, the cops with mace and all that shit. i woulda been so upset if i was there.

YES!!! i was there, it was soooo sick. and i dont know if any of you were in line before the doors but sunspot sent some fool to jail cause the guy hit his girlfriend(the guys girlfreind) and sunsposts like, man you dont hit a girl YOURE GOING TO JAIL and dragged that fool to a cop and they sent him away. ha, that fool was hella drunk too. but ya mad drama at that show. and when the cops came in it was only like 130 and the legends were like, FUCK THAT SHIT and they took the clock off the wall and were like, its only 130 and fucking threw the clock in the crowd, then the cops started to power trip. it was really dumb. but yea texas will be texas, and it did start to snow. it was random night to the 50000th power! but hella fun. we have that much fun everynight in texas. everyone should move here, its great!
