eyecue and rashinel have done a bunch of random tracks on la2thebay artists' tapes in the past few years as well. i thought the cleaners was dope, but like pm said, left something to be desired. i like to bump old saafir, whoriders, junction, etc.. definitely some of the dopest unheard shit outta that area.. i'd like to see them come with something real strong. something to bring them back to the top and maybe get some shine in this time of independent uprising.

i remember a while back i asked my friend from Brooklyn who his favorite west coast rappers were and he mentioned Saafir and boxcar sessions. At the time I'd heard about him but never really listened to his stuff. I went out and heard Boxcar Sessions and I liked it. Saafir has a one of a kind style which is rare in hiphop.

The Cleaners is the fucking KNOCK.

Might very well be one of my ten favorite albums.

I copped the vinyl repress of Saafir's solo joint which I used to love, but oddly enough that one doesn't really to it for me anymore. I think it's a little slow for my taste these days...
