9th Wonder is VERY overrated! He uses the same kicks, snares, and patterns on almost every track I've heard from him...He is improving though...

I co-sign on clap abuse, Ive never been a huge fan of Legends beats, yes there are always exceptions, but for the most part

heard nmgg a few times now and can't really dig the beats that much. alot of the tricks are come off soundin the same and a couple sound like beats that have been made already. i was readin the post about no more greener grass soundin like 21 questions and i thought the same thing. i always start singing the nate dogg hook during that song.
Felt probably hi-lites grouch's production the best

If you ask me 9th Wonder deserves the title this year. That dude made some big moves this year. Honourable mentions would also include Just Blaze, Kanye West, J Dilla, Madlib and MF Doom.
I think peeps need to keep an eye out for Stro the 89th Key, the production he did on "...As Iron Sharpens Iron" is pretty damn fresh.

To each thier own, I'm feeling most of what he's done and thinks he deserves props for it. I can see how you'd think he's not all that great though.

I don't get the whole Little Brother/9th Wonder hype either. Their first 12" didn't do it for me at all, and as for 9th's beats, the Last Real Nigga Alive remix is one of the best I've heard this year but I haven't really felt anything else I've heard from him. The Allways remix wasn't bad either I guess...

What about the H.E.R (Common) remix??? That shit was HOT.
I personally love 9th's beats, but thats just me.
