What's wrong with hip hop fans these days? I've recently been appreciating some artists that I had previously ignored for one reason or another. I don't hear people giving enough respect to the following:

- Akbar
- Azeem
- Bahamadia
- Big Dro (only a couple singles, but very dope)
- Emanon
- Encore
- Last Emperor
- Sach
- Self Scientific
- Zion-I

I know there's more...enlighten me!

And by the way, Crusader For Justice is one of my favorite Grouch albums now. Anyone else feeling it?

emanon just played here last weekend I think! Bahamadia hasnt put much out latley, has she? Emanon is fuckin rad though, I got some weird wax with them on it. Encore's aunt or mom or something worked at my work for a while. She had a autographed record and pictures all over her cube. She was older, that why I say aunt or mom.

what do you know about Home Grown? 427 and who was the other? Anyone know? I just found that tape on the floor the other day, I was stoked!

Pick up flight 162 as well, some local boys done good!

one4eleven, good try, but i don't agree with that at all. underrated would be anybody who is actually good at making hip hop but nobody listens to them. there's plenty (and i mean PLENTY) of people making hip hop who claim to be all about life and love and truth and staying on top of their game etc who are horrible to listen to.

and I gotta second tgone's pick, Azeem. Definitely one of my favorite MCs the last few years, and DEFINITELY slept on/underrated. That guy is extremely creative with his words and his style is strong. I think any and all of you should check out Craft Classic, it's a really dope album. A good variety of production, and the songs are all very easy to understand, yet very colorful and flowing. Any rap fan should enjoy that album.

I read on AMG that he was in a funk band in the early 90s. Have you heard about that? It sounds gravey. Peace.

the most underrated rapper in my opinion is SELF JUP from the Fellowship

I guess underrated are the Badstads (Easty Boys) from Afterlife, or just very unknown. But they only made one album a while back. I hope they'll drop new stuff soon. Last year Rifleman Ellay Khule announced a CD called "Ill Legal Bootlegs" which features some previously unreleased Badstads songs. I hope that will become true.

the ES badstads aka Easty Boys may be unknown to alotta heads, but I wouldnt say their underrated,...really those cats arent even that good, two of them cats cant even rhyme on beat...i'd much rather listen to CVE!

my vote for most underrated rapper is SELF JUPITER

Why "two of them"?
As far as I know there are just two MC's in their Crew: Cali-Rag and Versatyle.
But I think they can both rhyme over a beat, they just don't do it the usual way, always choppin!
CVE are dope as well.
