Battle City DJ Battle is coming....
We, at Turntablism and Monster Productions are taking applications to any Norcal DJ/DJ Group that is interested in competing in our Battle City DJ Battle. We are still in the planning stages but we are interested to see who wants to get in on it. It's guaranteed to be a massive event. Right now we're looking for 3 to 4 groups to enter our first battle but applications will be taken in and saved for our next battles.
Let me go through some of the judging criteria that will be going on during the dj battle:
1. Appearance: i.e. overall layout of system (design, sound quality, and light show)
2. Mixing: i.e. originality, transition from mix to tricks(beat juggling), overall crowd response
3. Crowd Response: i.e. sound meter, interaction w/ crowd(mc's and dancers)
This is how the battle is going to partake...
- each group has 2 15 min sets to put down their best mixes
- groups will be judged in 3 categories on a 10 point system.
- group with highest points at end of event wins
Requirements for DJ group:
1. $50.00 non-refundable entry fee.
2. Each group is to have a full DJ system. i.e. 2 turntables/cdplayers, mixer, amps, speakers - lights optional but a plus
3. Each group is allowed 5 members
Grand Prize: $300.00 and a bid to battle in our Battle City Finals

When replying please include Group Name, and a list of what kind of equipment you have and contact info... If chosen you will be contacted within the next two weeks.
Once again we're looking for djs in the bay area(from SAC to San Jose) to partake in our very first Battle City DJ Battle.
