Rancid- Indestructible
now i probably shouldnt have bought it since Warner Bros is kind of part releasing this album...but GODDAMN they are my favorite my punk band...
so i just got home, kinda already expecting an old, soft Rancid, and i open the cd and the little plastic circle holding the cd is broken!! so much for indestructable...haha...anyway i pop the cd in and its still the 2 minute (or under, on the last few) rancid songs but they just have kinda lost the edge....its still Rancid and its not complete shit (actually its much more marketable to the masses) and they still have lars and tim singin with matt in the backround soundin like hes been smokin since he was 3(see the Rancid cover of NoFXs 'Dont Call Me White' where is the lead vocals on the NoFX/Rancid split on BYO).
if you really like rancid and have seen em live and shit and have just followed em for years then pick it up cuz youll enjoy the cd but dont expect the more hardcore from the self-titled 2000 album..if you know rancid just check number 8 ('arrested in shanghai')... it takes 'radio havana' to another level....i guess the cd is most easily classified as a mix between 'lets go', 'and out come the wolves' and a pop punk band...im dissapointed but i cant turn it off.......
so ive been listenin to it and its not as soft as i made it sound...most of the first 8 tracks are but it gets better as it goes...its still one of thier worst two releases...the others just have so much damn character....no one cares on this board and neither do any of my friends but i had to tell someone damnit
