I heard he went to Arizona to study Buddhism a while back. Do you have any idea what sect of Buddhism he was studying?

thats not true actually...first off, he doesnt study buddhism, he studies hinduism. the thing with hinduism(name given to it by british, indians call it something else that translates 'divine truths') is that it isnt really a religion. there isnt a set worship place or time. it is really the pursuit of pure living and truth. there is no founder and nobody claims to know its origins. there is no one person that is enlightened like in all other religions. Christianity has Jesus, buddhism has buddha and so on. In hinduism, people devote their lives to becoming elightened. Other religions that teach one divine spirit are threatened by other religions. Christianity, for example, is very threatened by hinduism and even preach in india that following hinduism is the way to hell. Hinduism, on the other hand, doesnt think this way at all. To a true hindu, christ and buddha were just 2 other enlightened beings and are not threatened by them because there are many enlightened in the eyes of a hindu. so to say that mumbles went somewhere to 'become' a monk is impossible. It takes years of devotion and hard work to reach a level of enlightenment. There is an indian woman, named amachi, who is basically a hindu mother teresa. she spends 18 hours a day working to build homes and other community services while being a spiritual leader. when she was leaving india for a us tour(every summer she goes all over the us) she sat for 14 hours and hugged over 10000 people. anyway, she experienced(and still does by some) dissent among hindus who didnt believe she was enlightened. if anyone cares, email me and i can hook you up with more info...peace

I didn't think he went to "become a monk". I'm aware that it's not something you can become easily. However, I was just told by various sources that he went to Arizona to study Buddhism. Thanks for clearing it up.
