i agree w/ bazookatooth(kind of, havnt heard most of it), but their line up is just too ill and now their hella diverse. its still a new label, but so far they got albums like labor days, fan dam, can ox, begging of the end, dead ringer, ravipops just to name a few and now they got that new in house producer belief, his beats on ravipops are ill as fuck! real pro like, your gunna be hearing more about this dude in the future. every def jux related show iv been to has been sold out, they get mad shows all accross the globe. its not even a matter of opinion, they are far from wack, as a whole, the most talented crew thats out

but to each his own...i guess

We're talking about art here right?

It's ALWAYS a matter of opinion.

My opinion is that Def Jux is hit or miss... I do wanna peep Ravipops though.

Ravipops is a fresh CD. Sure there's a few clunkers but it's sheer dopeness for the most part. My joints are The Essense, 86, The Lineup, Battle Me, and Protect My Family. Limelight may be a little better though; I'll have to give that one another listen to be sure.

I agree C rayz was really held back with the Defjux album imo, he felt he had to be LIKE OTHER Def Jux artists and that is not who he is. Shit really held him back. The only Def Jux album I feel is the Murs Album all the rest is just TOO SUPER BACKPACKER for me.

I dig Ravipops. It starts off kinda unimpressive like, then it gets better from '86 to the end.

it's a really good album but probably his weakest overall.... 'limelight' was a much better joint and that was a limited album!..... i thought the point of his move to def jux was to do shit with some better producers (rjd2, el-p, fakts one etc).....

correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Aesop Rock produce most of Bazooka Tooth himself?

man, i can't base this C Rayz Walz album on his previous works and if hes changed, but in my opinion and i've only listened to the first 5 tracks... this shit is waaay fuckin tight, one of the best CD's i've purchased in awhile.... i love the hard shit and it starts off perfect.
