What's the best show that everyones been to?

Im really excited about the Creative Differences Tour because ive only recently been exposed to powerful underground hiphop so i havent been to many hiphop shows. ( How are the Legends and Eyedea live?) Ive listened to the Anticon and Rhymesayers guys for over a year now so the only real hip-hop show ive been to was the God Loves Ugly tour and that was incredible. Before i basically went to hardcore and punk rock shows so im so hyped to start going to shows and seeing people smiling and havin fun instead of bein macho and pissy. But some good shows ive been to are At the Drive In-at St Andrews in Detroit. Boy Sets Fire is always good. and theres a really good hardcore band called Atreyu thats from Orange County that i saw twice this fall and was blown away by them. I saw N*E*R*D at ST Andrews Hall which was really cool. Its a tie for the best show though between BS2000 (AD-Rock and Awol of the Beastie Boys keyboard ide project) at the Magic Stick and Atmospheres God Loves Ugly Tour at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor.

don't get your hopes up. there are "macho" and "pissy" acting people at hiphop shows too!

For me, some of the best HipHop shows i've seen are:

The Wu/Roots/Rage Against the Machine show....
Wu killed it. The whole squad was there. Rage had me wanting to knock heads boy! The Roots are FRESH live.... can't beat live instrumentation.....

Yo Flaco and Mission:...... Again, can't beat live instrumentation, and the vibe at this show was just hot... i dunno what it was, just mad positive energy in the air.

The Legends crew show back in 2000..... tiny venue, but that club was jumpin! The whole crew was there, mad classic material got played...... Grouch said in an interview the following year that it was one of the funnest shows he ever did.

J-Live/El Da Sensei/A-Sheru and Puts show.... bumpin. Vibe was fresh, music was ill and J-Live spit clear and crisp like always... mucho mic control. Puts, however, was dissappointing.... no mic control, and somewhat of a weak presence. But shit, it was still hype.

Beck with the Flaming Lips (in LA): magical.

Super Furry Animals at Brick by Brick (san diego): amazing

Seeing Acey's shows down here back when i was still in high school: unexplainable

Sparklehorse at the Belly Up: changed my outlook on music.

shit, i was gonna say the same thing too.
anyways, ive been to both underground punk and hiphop shows, and there really isnt much difference accept for the music. the vibe of the show totally depends on who is performing and the crowd. now most legends shows have a good vibe, but i did see them at the knitting factory, i think in may. and there were horrible people in the crown and the bouncers were mean. but there are most definatly gonna be macho people in the crowd, maybe even more so than an "at the drive in show". but as long as your there for the music, youll have fun.

any Legends show ive been to is waaaaay off the hook. my opinion says theyre the dopest live act. when they played with tha Liks went off. another show which ripped just about every other show down was Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Pep Love, Cali Agents 1&2 Rasco and Planet Asia, and Motion Man. that show was unbelievable. many many more too. peace.

Last night I went to Talib Kweli + De La Soul and George Clinton and Dres from Black Sheep were there and turned some shit out. It was definitely a nice launch into 2003.

Tibetan Freedom Concert (SF: '96) By far the best Ive been to (Rage.. Beck...DeLa... Fugees...) it was just missing Bjork... (she only came to the NY show)

Revenge of the Robots Tour: (SF: '02) First time I've seen them live.... i was really worried I wouldn't get to see them all together since Company Flow broke up.

and but ofcourse.... every legend show ive been to (especially last year at either the Justice League or Fillmore: they all came thru.. even arata and asop) ... (even tho the G&E show at Sac was a little weak, it wasnt their fault... the system was really bad...we couldnt hear shiet...)
