It's not his most classic material, but the self-titled album is probably my favorite...

What's that one... Ghetto Music: Blueprint Of Hip Hop I think... where he's sitting on the steps... that's BDP, but I used to bump that one a lot back in the day.

I picked up his KRStyle album in May up in San Jose. He performed up in SJSU for that Universoul show. At least it`s better than the last album he put out. I also like his blueprint album. Anyway check this out-- A lil` somethin` I read.

SPREAD THE WORD!!

Peace and much love to the entire Hiphop community. Know this. The KRISTYLE (kristyles) album scheduled for release on Tuesday June 24th 2003, distributed through In The Paint/ Koch Entertainment has been halted by KRSONE. Due to a verity of Koch’s contractual breaches and Hiphop Cultural violation in association with the production and marketing of the KRISTYLE (kristyles), KRSONE (through court order) has prohibited the sale, distribution, promotion, etc. of the KRISTYLE (kristyles) album through Koch distribution until such matters are resolved.

True Hiphoppas and fans of KRSONE can experience the original KRISTYLE album in its entirety on Kazaa and other internet outlets. KRSONE advises the Hiphop community NOT to purchase krisyles from In the Paint/Koch Distributions for $17.98. KRSONE advises the Hiphop community to purchase this album directly from reputable Hiphop sources or Call 1(866) HIPHOP-9 to order an autographed copy of the original KRISTYLE as KRSONE intended it to sound for only $10.00.

Support conscious Hiphop! Do not let greedy corporate executives dictate to the world what Hiphop is going to look and sound like! KRSONE hopes to resolve this matter with In The Paint/Koch very soon. However, in the meantime all true Hiphoppas are advised not purchase kristyles until KRSONE gives it his official approval. KRSONE wants us to know that, “Although I am proud of all of my work, this is not the album that I intended to put out. It seems that In The Paint/Koch distributions has taken (without my permission) the rough mixes of the Kristyle album and has made a kristyles. This is unacceptable! ”

After Koch released “KRStyles” on Tuesday, a court order quickly had it pulled off the shelves for breach of contract. Not only did Koch change the name (adding an ‘s’), but they included incomplete mixes, changed the track order and left KRS’ Jam Master Jay tribute off the album.

Before the album was pulled, KRS-One advised his fans not to purchase “Kristyles” from In the Paint/Koch Distributions for $17.98. KRS has said to call 1(866) HIPHOP-9 to order an autographed copy of the original “KRStyle” as he intended to release it for only $10.00.

“Although I am proud of all of my work,” KRS said. “This is not the album that I intended to put out. It seems that In The Paint/Koch distributions has taken (without my permission) the rough mixes of the Kristyle album and has made a Kristyles. This is unacceptable!”

well first of all, this is the first we've heard about this, and indeed if the album has been ordered to be pulled off the shelves, then we've yet to be contacted about it...

we got it from our regular distributor (not koch/paint dist), thus the reason we're selling it for $16 is just de to regular mark-up for us..and obviously if he's selling it for 10 its cause he's doing so direct to the consumer....the $$ is going to him and not to the record label....

i guess we'll look into it further and see what is to be done...

but don't think that were trying to make money off something like this!!!!!!

i'm glad we only ordered 6 copies...
