That reminds me of that episode of Hangin' With Mr. Cooper where he signs a 10-day contract with the Warriors and gets yoked on by Sir Charles during a game. Then Chuck gives him the ol' "Welcome to the NBA" line... classic. Then the local paper puts the still on the cover of the sports page and Coop never plays again... I used to love that show.

yea..that show was great..i hadnt seen it for a long time..but just the other day i saw a re-run of one of the episodes..i guess they play them sometime during the day..

I wouldn't say he's a bad pick. He hasn't seen too many minutes, but when he is out there, he's making the most of his PT. He's just getting his feet wet.

I thought the 2001 draft turned out great. Richardson, Arenas and (my dawg) Murphy are playing superbly. Dunleavy will pan out and so will the cat from Europe, Welch. But this is as far as I'll go defending St. Jean's picks.

Personally, I'd rather see a more mature, complete player from Europe be drafted than an unproven prospect straight outta high school. At least they've played some professional ball and know what's expected of them. Generally, they are better shooters and make more disciplined decisions on the court.
